Hi again. What do they mean by “processing”, and how long is it normal for it to take? It’s weird because my AirPods have already been delivered (I took the AirPods promotion), and my iPad still shows “processing”.
Your processing status may be that way for at least until 2-3 days before shipping, so settle in, find a comfy chair and hang out with us if you'd like.

Can anybody know how much time apple take to deliver a replacement for ipad.
The replacement stock is separate from regular retail stock, so it's hard to say but Apple should be giving you an expected date.

Can you still cancel the order if it shows “processing”? Reason I ask is that my local Apple Store randomly gets iPads in stock. If the same config I order comes into the store first, I’d like to grab it and cancel the online order.

Yes you can. You should see a Cancel button when you look up your order.

Even if you don’t cancel or cannot cancel online, you can always return it to your apple store and get a refund.

Basically, I’m trying to decide between getting a 12.9 Pro w 512 GB storage that I can get today at my local Apple Store or ordering the 1 TB version and waiting a month.
If you Really Need the 1TB, wait a month or wait for it to show up in Stores near you. If you don’t Really need the 1TB, get the 512gb and Save yourself the Suffering.

My post that you quoted was a response to someone else, not directly to you. If the team told you it would be 10 days, I would tend to rely on that more. I think the only way to reconcile the difference between the two estimates is to re-contact Apple to ask why your online order is showing such a longer time.

OMG
People with the Magic Keyboard:
You know how there is a seam along the outside Edge of the Keyboard Deck? Well, mine is starting to Seperate.

Pictures below. I hope this is normal, and not something bad.

It’s so small that my iPhone’s Camera can’t focus on it. I guess it’s not a problem.

It’s been like this for a few weeks now, hasn’t improved nor has it gotten worse. I just decided to post about it today.

If it gets even a little bit worse, I’ll look into a Replacement.
I believe I've had mine longer than yours (I got it early June), and I don't have that happening. It should be covered under your iPad's Applecare+.

I canceled my regular iPad 7th generation order and then ordered the 8th generation. Same price and everything and since I preordered I got mine much faster than hadwI waited for my 7th generation

For anyone who doesn't wish to, or can't wait, I'd suggest checking local stores, which are receiving stock, despite Apple's website indicating otherwise, or having too much latency to accurately reflect inventory.

My local Costco, which had no stock of most Apple products a couple weeks ago, had the 11"/256GB SG in stock as of a couple days ago. But it wasn't what I was looking for so…

I booked a slot at the Apple store, thinking I'd paw the merchandise one last time and finalize my choice, go home, order online and wait…only to unexpectedly walk out with a new Pro, and a set of AirPods as part of the BTS deal.

While there, I pulled up the Buy page, and flipped through the options, which showed little, if anything available for pickup at the stores in the area. But the Specialist, whose magic terminal is the true and final arbiter, made some taps and said "most" of the models were in stock, except for a niche model like the 512GB LTE. They did also lack the base 11" 128GB in silver, which had a slim edge as my first choice, but space grey was available, and the color was no biggie, so I took the bait offer.

Now, I can spend that time looking for the accompaniments, and finding other ways to wear out the ⌘R keys.

I am starting to think that I should have gotten a MacBook Pro, just for the Peace of Mind.

Here’s Why:

I don’t want to have to constantly baby my device.

Here’s Why Not:

The iPad is faster. And cheaper (In some cases). It’s also Unique.

This is my Dilemma. I think I might return this and get a MacBook instead.

HA! YOU THOUGHT I WOULD RETURN THIS! HAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Seriously, the Peace of Mind with a Traditional Laptop is desirable, but not today. I also can’t return this because it’s Engraved.
Now you know why I got it engraved.

But then you wouldn’t have been on this thread, lol. I knew you were kidding! Time to liven up this thread again. It’s been pretty slow the past couple of days. Guess everyone is getting their iPad Pro.

Like you wouldn’t have babied a Macbook Pro. 🤣
