Jk, yes the processing stage takes a while. It took me over 25 days.
Wow, I'm impressed that they're not counting it as an AC+ incident. Awesome to hear that! So the big question ... same DBrand skin this time or something new?
I would try removing the old skin and attaching the same to the new keyboard... remember seeing on some YouTube video of someone doing it.

So apparently, my hands are a bit large for the small palmrests on the 11” Keyboard. So, the palm of my hand would keep rubbing up against the edge of the keyboard, hence where it started separating.
If I rub my hands in the opposite direction along the edge, it is reversing the damage. Kinda. I think I have to keep doing this subconsciously until it goes away. I might not have to get a replacement and new dbrand skin!

Even if you don't get a replacement, you found something important to know for all MK users about how Apple will replace them under warranty. That's a good thing to know even if you don't go for it this time.
I know! I was expecting to have to pay $29 and use one of my AC+ Claims. I’m thinking if it gets worse, like my old Smart Keyboard then I’ll get a replacement.
I’m not caring about it until this happens:
Then again, I probably would be unbelievably annoyed if that happened to my Magic Keyboard. But this is built a lot better than that Smart Keyboard, so the few Millimeters of damage that I almost lost my mind over will probably not grow into anything worse. Fingers Crossed.

I’m sorry that you have to wait this long. It is unacceptable. Have you tried calling Apple Support? They might be able to speed things up.

I’m in the same situation. Ordered a 12.9 inch on September 19 with the Oct 13 - Oct 20 delivery window. Still processing.
I really hope they will ship them soon! The wait feels so much worse when inside the delivery window.

For example,
I ordered July 6 with a Estimated range of August 5-12.
I got it August 7.
Apple will deliver within the given time frame. Under current circumstances I’d say toward the later end of the frame but it won‘t be any later. I ordered on Sept. 9th and delivery frame was oct 1 - 8 and it was delivered on the 6th. Went out of processing on the 5th and it delivered over night. I’ll never forget waking up expecting nothing to have changed on the 5th and before you know I was out of bed jumping up and down screamingI was hoping apple would ship faster than quoted; but doesn't look like it.

We’re gonna have to start a shipping delay thread for the new iPhone 12 coming out xD If anyone missed the live event it was really well put together and visually appealing. Now that I have my IPP I have to wait ANOTHER month til I can pre order the Pro Max in blue. Can’t wait!
Would love to join in on the iPhone 12 frenzy, but I’ll be skipping it, as I already got a Galaxy S20 shortly after it was released back in March. I’ll likely get next year’s iPhone 13 or 12s (whatever they call it), assuming it has a 120Hz refresh rate, which the 12 doesn’t. Once you have that, which the S20, it’s tough if not impossible to go back to 60Hz. 😅
I ordered on September 17 and it only shipped yesterday. My ETA was October 14-20 and it's supposed to arrive Friday (the 16th).

THEY REPLACED IT (or are replacing it)
I suppose “Pending” is a nicer way of saying ”Processing”. They must have known about our struggles.
I don’t know when it will arrive, Apple’s retail website says that if you buy a Magic Keyboard it will come next tuesday.
But, I did use one of my AppleCare+ Claims (oops) and I did get an EXPRESS REPLACEMENT.
Sounds Intimidating.
I really hope it arrives this weekend. Then I can have a new keyboard! Yay.
The most painful thing about this experience is probably me taking off the (as of now) 20-Day old dbrand skins off my Magic Keyboard.
Oh, and also the $300 AUTHORIZATION HOLD ON MY DEBIT CARD.
Ouch.
I “miss” waiting for things to arrive from apple. Lol.
I guess we have a new catchphrase....
