Hi, I ordered a 11” IPP on July 6 and I got a Estimated Date of Aug 5-12. I also ordered the Pencil and Magic Keyboard. The pencil was supposed to come July 22-29 But ended up coming on July 8. The Keyboard is supposed to come July 15-22. However, both the iPad and Keyboard are still stuck on “Processing”. I wonder if the Keyboard or iPad would come early just like the Pencil. I can’t wait, gonna be upgrading from my 3 year old iPad Pro 9.7”. It is my first time Ordering direct from Apple, so I’m new to their Ordering system.
Amazon and B&H have had that model routinely in stock and at a discount. If you don’t want to wait a month, you might try one of them.
I ordered a 12.9” iPP 256gb on 7/4 and have seen no movement yet on my order.
I’m officially abandoning ship, as B&H is running a deal ($849) today on the 2018 12.9” iPP 256gb w/ LTE. This saves me a little money (that I’ll use for AppleCare) and gives me an estimated delivery date of Thursday.

I was thinking the same thing but I really don't want to spend that much money and get a 2-year old iPad.
Unfortunately, there isn't much difference between the 2018 and 2020 iPad pro apart from LiDAR and depending on which model, the RAM. The chip is basically the 2018 one...
I came to the same conclusion. The LiDAR (actually any rear camera setup) sensor just isn't something I care about on an iPad. Moreover, performance seems really similar between both models from all the YouTube comparisons I watched.

My June 23rd order just charged to my Apple Card today ($801. the free Airpods charged me $172 and was already delivered on June 25th), so it's possible that my 12.9 iPad Pro is about to be shipping soon.

Oh dang. Ordered mine 7 Days ago and it’s still stuck on Processing. This is gonna be a long month. (It’s Supposed to Arrive August 5-12)
Yeah, it's going to be a long month for you indeed. Maybe 2 weeks before you see any action. My order is in the Preparing to Ship phase now. Hope I get it by this Saturday.
I didn't really care for a new iPad Pro especially if mini-LEDs are going to come out next year, but hey I got the 12.9 inch with free airpods. I'm gonna give my 2016 9.7" iPP to my mom who still uses an iPad 2 that my sister gave her a few years ago. Now she can finally use the YouTube app, she could not figure out the web interface. I was only using my 9.7 inch iPP to watch videos next to my MBP, but I'm going to see if I can use this 12.9 iPP more like a laptop, going to get the Pencil 2, but still on the fence about that Magic Keyboard. $350 is a hard pill to swallow.
Funny thing is, when I Ordered mine on July 6, The Pencil came about 2 days later even though it was Supposed to arrive July 22-29. My Magic Keyboard for the iPad is supposed to come July 15-22. Even though that’s tomorrow, the Keyboard is still on “Processing” along with the iPad. Guess once the MK comes I can stare at the Keyboard and Pencil for 2 weeks until the iPad Arrives ?
I just cancelled my Apple order for an IPP 2020 11" 256gb, delivery Aug 5-12 after finding one on Amazon for delivery Jul 17-18.
On a semi related note, I purchased an open-box 12.9" Magic Keyboard from Best Buy on 7/11 with an original delivery date of 7/21 and it showed up today, 7/14! The box was definitely opened, but it appears to be in "excellent" condition as advertised, and I saved $50. Best Buy's return policy applies to open-box items too, so might be worth a shot for anyone looking to save some cash.
I don’t need mine Right away, so I’m gonna keep my Order on Apple’s Website. My IPP 9.7” From 2017 is still Great!
Getting Apple is not really about “needing” it. It is more so a matter of wanting it, like “the precious” (ring).
If you were in the UK and purchasing from John Lewis stores, you could have had it the next day. Which is what I was able to do a few weeks ago.
I also found the 11" IPP silver 256GB on Amazon and cancelled mine I had on order from Apple, I wouldn't of minded waiting if it was out of stock everywhere but when you can get it from Amazon why purchase it from Apple and wait a month.

I find it weird the shipping dates are the same for every model. LTE/ WiFi only, any capacity, any screen size. Usually there's a difference somewhere in dates.
I agree, it looks odd, doesn't it? In several New England stores, I'm seeing in-store availability for the higher storage Wi-Fi and cellular models, and more silver is available for pickup than space gray. So far we're lucky that our stores are still open.

For the keyboard July 15-22 Lol. It’s gonna arrive on time. (Hopefully)
As for the iPad, it’s August 5-12.
