iPad Pro iPad Pro - Shipping Thread

I dropped my iPad.

It was from about 7 Inches onto a tile floor. It was in the magic Keyboard. it hit on the edge. Thinking about it now it was my fault. It was on the edge of the chair. The Aluminum is so soft. It rippled when it hit. It’s very small, less than a square centimeter. Still there. The MK sustained a bit of damage too. Below is a picture of the MK. This iPad is not leaving my desk, and if it is it’s going in the center of a table.

Whoa, so sorry to see this. What are you going to do about the damage?

wait yours is still on delay? it should have departed along with our ipads :(

I’ve created this to prevent this from Happening again. It now is a Widget on my Home Screen.

That really sucks, especially for something you were so eager to get and waited a month for. Did you consider using an AppleCare claim?

It’s not that big of an Issue, and I am saving AppleCare+ for when something actually bad happens. This sucks, but I can live with it. Tomorrow I’m ordering a case that protects the side of the iPad while being able to detach and attach to the Magic Keyboard.

I’m gonna start treating this as a Laptop.

I’m really sad. But then again this was bound to happen.
The iPad dent doesn’t bother me very much, it’s the Magic Keyboard. It now looks a year old from that. I’ll probably get used to it.

I recommend getting that Coverbuddy case if you have a Magic Keyboard or Folio. They don’t provide any side drop protection. It is a must-have.

I thought I could make it with just the MK, but looks like I need a 2 Cases. The MK and this Case.

At least I’ll have Peace of Mind with this case.

I ordered an IPP 12.9 on the exact same date and I am in Germany. However I did order a pencil along with it, which had an estimated delivery window of Aug 13 - Aug 20, and it arrived on 18th Aug. The IPP has a delivery window of Aug 20 - Aug 27, so my guess is that it should arrive on Aug 25th.

I was charged on my credit card for the pencil on the 17th Aug at 3 AM and the pencil was in my hands on 18th afternoon. So just hang in there bud :)

You know, it’s fine taking it out of the box. That drop was 110% My Fault. But I would recommend getting a case within the First Week or so.
