That's right. An app to open a file, and then another app to manipulate that file. And another app to execute changes to that file. And another app to send that file. And then voilà - EFFICIENT WORKFLOW! I don't know why people complain, just because it takes 10x longer.

But seriously, the points he raised are undoubtedly the same teething issues that the majority face when trying to replicate laptop/desktop workflow on the iPad.
The iPad requires a different workflow. In its current form, some are easy transitions, but a lot of tedious and arduous long-form processes exists, and some tasks simply cannot be done. After all, it's great [not] knowing how big folder sizes are in the File app.
These can easily be rectified even without having to go full bloom with a desktop OS.
Final point - Re: the iPad vs Laptop debate - Creatives DO NOT represent the majority of the workforce, despite us thinking we do. There is a tangible and unequivocal benefit with the touchscreen and Apple Pencil that cannot be achieved with a non-touchscreen desktop/laptop, and Apple and app developers have traditionally shown a spotlight on the video/photo editing capabilities for the iPad. But that does not mean that the majority benefits from this! Again, horses for courses and reasonableness in advice-giving.
