Picked up another 11” LTE iPad via Amazon yesterday. Same slight bend at the antenna lines as all the others I’ve seen. I’m thinking this is the new normal.

Mine delivered today from AT&T - not bent.
It only looks bent from 1 angle. I’m almost 100% certain yours is the same. I’ve seen over 15 of the 11” LTE and every single one looks exactly the same with the exact distoration at the same spot on each iPad.

It might be more of an illusion than an actual problem but it’s noticeable from this one angle.

Got my 12.9" WiFi model yesterday and it's not bent. Very happy with the device overall. Was surprised how heavy it is but already got used to it and love the size!

Well I held it up and looked down the top line that has been shown in a lot of the pics and I don’t see it. Plus, if it was bent at all, it shouldn’t lie completely flat face down on a flat surface.

I’m pretty nitpicky about my gadgets, and if I have to look harder than I have to see it, it can’t be much of an issue (on my particular iPad anyway).

My 1st attempt with an 11” WiFi model definitely had a bend. This one doesn’t. There is some unevenness around the area with the Apple logo but I am happy now...

You need to look at it by holding the iPad sideways in portrait mode. At the breaks in th antenna lines it should look like a slight bend. Mine feels straight otherwise but this one angle seems like a slight bend.
It’s reall not a big deal but once you see it you can’t unsee it. Still love the device though!

I did that. Not seeing anything that resembles a bend. If it’s so slight I have to look for it with a microscope, I don’t need to know it’s there.

Besides, IF it was bent where you are referring to, it wouldn’t be completely flat on a flat surface - one edge would have a little lift. The only time it looks like that at all is where the camera is if I put the camera bump side down.

The lte display models at the local Apple store are noticeably warped/bent and I will have none of it.

My AppleCare+ expires in June on my 10.5”. I will buy another 10.5” then to get me through to 2021 with AppleCare+ support.

There’s no way in hell I’ll buy one of these flimsy, sub-par, 2018 iPad Pros. Apple really sh*t the bed with this one.

Nothing about 2018 iPad Pros is sub-par. Apple didn’t sh*t the bed, it is their best hardware in a long time. If it’s bent out of the box, replace it.

I remember when I first got my iPad mini and the craze then was all about the pink splotches on a white background that you could only see under extremely specific circumstances (in the dark with a particular background, etc.), not real life use. I got swept up in it and exchanged multiple minis until I finally settled on one, where I promptly forgot about the issue (and i know some cannot). Looking back, I honestly regret how crazy it made me feel and act at the time. And I get the sense that every year there's always *something* that is trending on the Macrumors forums as an unforgiveable glitch in every product line. I don't worry about that any more, or at least try not to. I've had 3 iPad Pros because I went from 11" to 12.9" and back to 11", and none were "bent" though if I squinted at one of the devices I could maybe see or at least felt like I could see a very very slight curvature. But my final device doesn't even have that, and I think these iPad Pros are aesthetic marvels with incredible speed. Overpriced, probably. But beautiful? Assuredly. And worrying over every tiny alleged imperfection that you can only recreate by looking really, really hard for that imperfection (obvious bends and problems aside.. I'm thinking more about very minor backlight bleed, etc. that honestly does not crop up in real life use but gets a bunch of people up in arms) degrades my experience as a consumer and assuredly affects pricing when Apple allows people to exchange and return 5+ devices at a time. That said, I did check for a bend. But if it's something I can't really see in real life, I'm not getting out a ruler to measure the iPad. I have no sense that it feels flimsy or like it will bend in real life use unless I do something really terrible to it. I wouldn't want it noticeably bent out of the box. And I check for dead pixels. But I don't put on a specific white background and turn off all the lights and look if there is a pink tint somewhere. Because that **** ultimately did not affect my usage of the device, and only made me feel terrible for no good reason.

I think have found a slight warping due to the camera hump in the 12.9 wifi models. That break out int he design causes some weirdness around the lens.

I look forward to getting next years model. It will have all the amazing features as this years models, and they'll probably silently tweak the metal so no more bends :). I generally avoid first models of all products, and as I've gotten older I've found there's a lot of wisdom with that. Hopefully my air 2 lasts that long!

Just noticed today that mine has seriously warped (or am I too nit-picky ;) )

Note that I tried to make the tip of the pencil align with that left edge ...notice the right hand side.
Definitely wasn’t like this out of the box (bought early nov 2018) as I would have noticed the pencil sitting weirdly (like in the photo)

I’m not going to say whether it’s warped or not—it does look a bit so in the picture, but the pencil can attach magnetically in all sorts of ways to the side, not just perfectly straight. It can be a little crooked. So it could be mostly just how the pencil happened to attach when you took that photo.

I did this on my warped iPad.

Really!? It's very easy to see the bend despite the camera bump. Look at the curve from the magnet. That is a banana ipad!

Thank you !! I honestly don't know what else I could do to demonstrate how bent this is! I would have thought the first picture would be enough and had tried to add the pencil into shot as a reference - clearly it didnt help :)
[doublepost=1548556404][/doublepost]Actually the face down shot was a good idea - I will do this as the example at the apple store!
