Wow! 13-Inch OLED Display is an ideal size. I’m ready.
My guess is they will be released in March/April, 2024.
Same. I have the pre-M1 12.9 inch iPad Pro and love it. I’ve been waiting for OLED before upgrading to Apple silicon.

You’re basing this on a keynote presentation. Real world there will undoubtedly be physical and software limitations so while it looks super cool the support and versatility will take a long time. Apple won’t even turn the iPad into a MacBook replacement for fear of market split so I anticipate the Vision Pro being locked to 1st party apps for a while. I’ll look out for your ‘Why I’m returning the Vision Pro’ post.
11". 12.9 is way too big for me to hold and is absurd for a tablet. If I needed a 13 inch screen I'd just get a Macbook...which I did.
There’s a lot of talk about burn in, but my oled iPhones have never suffered for burn in. So I guess apple knows to to prevent that in an iPad too.
There is no such thing as a microLED iPad. You have mini-LED. As mentioned in this thread already, they are not the same thing.Always wanted an Oled iPad but had to settle for the 12.9 microled iPad.

I'll upgrade from my 11" M1 iPad Pro if they do OLED/micro LED and put the camera in the right place.
I'd consider a larger one if the aspect ratio was the same as the 11". The 4:3 just wastes too much space for watching video content.
Better? Yes. Cheaper? No. 🤷I wonder why the sudden change of strategy from Mini-LED to OLED? Is it better? Is it cheaper?
The jump was LCD to mini-LED. Can’t see OLED being that big a deal.
It seems everyone dreams of having an extra inch… 😉OLED together with M-chips would be a reason to upgrade. Not that it's really needed (90% of my time with my iPads ist reading and web surfing), but market prices for used devices are still good, so why not.
My only complaint would be that I'd prefer the larger model to be 14", not 13".
Also, how about a lovely little iPad Mini Pro with 8-9"?![]()
It'd be interesting to see the sizing go to something like 12" and 14". 12" is kind of the holy grail for me since that can accommodate a full sized keyboard with closer to 19 mm keyspacing (depending upon the aspect ratio) without being as bulky as the 12.9"+ models. The current 11" ones have full sized keyboards but with 18 mm keyspacing. I find 18 mm spacing OK, but since all the Macs have 19 mm keyspacing, it'd be nice to have a small iPad Pro with the same. It should be noted that the diminutive 12" MacBook has 19 mm keyspacing. My only complaint would be that I'd prefer the larger model to be 14", not 13".

Yes. I’d prefer not to get OLED if possible burn in is a risk. My iPad is on pretty much constantly during the day.The big question is: will Apple offer two display options? …Or only OLED?
OLED is usually thinner and lighter than LCD, as OLED has no backlight.OLED screens are heavier I presume than the current 11” LED screens?
Sorry Apple but no more ipads for me.
Apple suppliers will begin mass production of new 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Pro models with OLED displays in the first quarter of 2024, according to research firm Omdia. The information was shared in a report from Korean website The Elec.

Benefits of OLED technology for iPad Pro displays would include increased brightness, higher contrast ratio, greater color accuracy, and lower power consumption compared to existing models with LCD panels. Apple already uses OLED displays for the latest iPhone and Apple Watch models, excluding the lower-end iPhone SE.
iPad Pro models released in 2017 and later support ProMotion, allowing for a variable refresh rate between 24Hz and 120Hz. The switch to OLED would likely allow for the refresh rate to drop down even further to 10Hz or lower to save battery life. iPhone 14 Pro models can reach as low as 1Hz while in always-on display mode.
Apple will reportedly be using very thin hybrid OLED displays with a combination of flexible and rigid materials, which could allow for the iPad Pro to have a slightly thinner design. The panels will be costly to manufacture, according to Ross Young of Display Supply Chain Consultants, so the next iPad Pro models will likely be more expensive.
The current iPad Pro models were released in October 2022 and feature Apple's M2 chip, support for faster Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity, and hover functionality for the second-generation Apple Pencil. iPad Pro updates are often around a year and a half apart, so an early 2024 launch for the next models would make sense.
iPad Pro display sizes are expected to see a slight increase from 11 and 12.9 inches currently to 11.1 and 13 inches with the next models.
Omdia expects the first MacBook Pro with an OLED display to be released in 2027.

Yep, pretty much. If the AVP works as advertised.I rather have a Vision Pro than another iPad. I sometimes go weeks without using my iPad. I use my MBP and iPhone and iMac all the time.
well I have the 12.9" M1 ... the miniLED is great in terms of brightness and HDR playback ... but the blooming is not ideal tho and it's a little blueish when watching from angle ... OLED is better at thatI have the iPad Pro M2 (Mini-LED display), so I won't be upgrading. I doubt there will be a noticeable difference with the OLED iPad display. It actually might be a downgrade due to brightness.
