iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

Got it! Hermosa Beach, CA @ 3:10 p.m.

UPS's tracking system still isn't showing anything beyond the "destination scan" (i.e. out for delivery or delivered scans).
 
Got it in San Pedro! I gave up and went out to the hardware store so I'd quit torturing myself, and of course it came 5 minutes after I left! My wife was kind enough to call and let me know so I never made it to the store...

She humored me and plugged my new pico projector into it for 2 seconds. The laser pointer is cool in keynote. Then she unplugged it and went on her way! LOL!!

I now have 2 younger children chomping at the bit to touch it and get one themselves!
 
3:24PM - Finally arrived here in Monterey CA!!! The driver was laughing as he walked up the stairs to my apartment and says to me "what is this thing I have tons of these today" LOL

Here is my current tracking status right now... Note that Oakland is 3 hours from me and I never saw another scan after this. So don't give up people!!!! :D Now I'm off to have some fun! :D

Ipad in Fresno at 3:20 local

OK just got mine at 3:20 local time. Driver said it was about to go back to UPS since an EARLIER driver couldn't find my house..my address is blocked by a tree, however UPS delivers on our street and my house frequently so this seemed to be a line to me. Just the Saturday drivers or drivers doing non familiar routes. SYNCING NOW. yeah. Ipad for me! How everyone gets theirs! cheers.

Seems like most people have gotten theirs since this thread is not getting as much replies as earlier. Still waiting here in Rosemead, CA.
 
Just got mine in Highland CA. Think I know what is causing the delays though! It arrived at 4pm and got it did the happy dance and then, knocking on my door again. It is UPS, they need the box to rescan and reenter and have me resign because he put in my address with a street instead of avenue. Told me for everyone that they don't deliver or don't deliver correctly, UPS has to pay Apple $500!!!!
 
I have noms, and iPad. Syncing up now. People, UPS is just swamped. The driver looked, well. Frazzled. He had cars chasing him on my street. When it comes, if today...be nice. They're working hard (drivers) despite some internal (operations) clusterf*cks.

Also, those of you looking at other options, check your local BestBuy with Apple kiosk. Ours (Burbank, CA @ Empire Center) has "plenty of all models if you get here by tonight." I had to coax her a bit to give that out, but she was nice. :)
 
Yay my iPad's here. Got a call from UPS saying they couldn't get in at the front gate. It's hardly ever closed during the day so I had go running down with the remote to let them in. And of course by the time I got there someone else had already come through and opened it for them. So iPad is here, time to fire it up.
 
What the hell this iPad feels and looks too amazing, im overwhelmed!1 LOL Like only Apple can pull off a device like this. :):):):apple:
