iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

It wouldn't be the first time I've been screwed by UPS with non deliver of urgent packages. Driver claimed no one was home when I was literally sitting on my front porch all day, working. So your info about the $500 incentive makes me feel a bit better. (she said with hope in her voice)

When I preordered mine, I figured Apple would ship via FedEx. My track record at this address with UPS has shown consistently that I'm pretty much the last stop on their route.
Given the higher volume from the iPad deliveries, I'll be surprised if mine shows up today. But I'm hopeful!

Got mine in 97370 Oregon (no fly zone). Rural area, Apple and UPS said Monday delivery due to living in a "no Saturday area". So don't give up. Box did have Saturday delivery sticker. I almost took off and drove 50 miles to a Best Buy who had them in stock. Glad I didn't, I would have missed shipment.
Beware folks. Mine, while syncing as we speak, still shows as IN TRANSIT to Sylmar CA. I think the UPS system has melted down.
6:32 Central time and still no iPad. I received the email that said I was not eligible for saturday shipping. But this gives me hope.

I feel like everyone has one now but me. Where the hell is the UPS guy? I thought they were doubling their drivers for today.
UPS is an epic fail.
If I knew they were gonna make me wait until 6:00 PM and on, I would have picked it up at the store something like 9 hours ago.
Like I said earlier, never again. This is pathetic. They wasted my day, and I still don't have the package.

UPS guy got here at around 5:30. He said it had been a long day with iPad deliveries. A buddy of mine ended up impulsively buying a 64GB from Best Buy as I sat waiting for mine.

Leave a comment in this thread if you preordered an iPad for delivery and still haven't gotten it. Include what time it is in your location. I still haven't received mine and its 7:15. Im very frustrated.

Your hubby will survive (been there, done that)!
Just remember to put down the iPad after a bit and be sure you "show your appreciation" to him later!
