iPad shipped, Apple just sent out tracking numbers!

Just for the heck of it, I checked my shipping on FedEx website. Apple sent it 2 day Service. It left their facility in Ontario California today. I live 2 hours away in San Diego. FedEx is saying I will get it on Tuesday. Will it likely come on Monday? Does FedEx deliver 2 day Service on Saturday?

that was my last scan. But that was almost 2 hours before that plane took off. Is it safe to say I'm on that plane or am I still awaiting to be sorted. I was on UPS-21 btw.

Not sure - it could still go out on the overnight flights to KONT or KBUR (there might be other hubs for So. Cal. further south (towards SD) but I'm not sure). Note: mine was sitting in KSDF since 3/31.

Where is yours being shipped to? I'm outside of Chicago. Have the same status.
 
Ugh. When is my iPad going to leave KY and go to Ontario? This is all I heard for the last couple days:

Now I have 2 other tracking numbers to deal with. My keyboard dock, which UPS still has no record of the tracking number, and my case, shipping through Fedex. Weird though. My case says, on the Apple email, Delivers by April 12 yet Fedex says April 6th. Hopefully Fedex is right on this one (ordered it 5:38ampst on 3/12). Keyboard dock is definitely beating ship date since it said it was going to ship by the 15th and now it has shipped. Apple said that the keyboard dock will be delivered by the 6th too, hopefully they are right now. Seems weird with this conflicting data.

Don't forget that Guangzhou is on the other side of the date line, meaning your iPad probably arrived in the states at a time that is apparently before it left China, and has probably had all day today in the states to move around.

For example, my iPad left Guangzhou at 7:10PM on 3/30 and arrived in Alaska at 1PM on 3/30.

It is possible but unlikely. International scans are hard, but once the international packages are in KY they are rarely not scanned at least once in a way that will update their status...

I was on 21 too and I still have no movement.

Those Import scans basically signify that the packages have been "imported" into the US and are entering the US section of the delivery system - In English, it means that the package has been scanned from the container and is on the sorting floor (the third floor, if I remember correctly) of WorldPort. Then it is sent around for about 15 minutes, loaded into a bag with other packages, put into a container and its on a plane to your regional sort facility :)

And all of that happens within about 45 minutes of the package arriving in KY (for domestic).

For international there are more steps, but basically they have a lot of time to get those packages moving to make their flights :)

When did you order them?

I know there is another thread for this, but my Case or my Keyboard dock haven't even been prepared yet, and I ordered them on the 12th... I am excited though. That means I will probably see something by early next week :)
 
Well good news for the Erie, PA area. Just got a delivery from Amazon and asked if she may have heard anything about the iPad and Saturday delivery. She said we just had a meeting on that this morning and then she got on her cell ph and called in and inquired when will the iPads get delivered? Her office told her definitely tomorrow.

IM shocked! Been living here for 11 years and Never got a UPS Saturday delivery except one time for Christmas rush.

I'll still believe it when I see it but Jobs/Apple sure has got the juice.

This is driving me nuts! I was on the Korea flight and no status update since then.... Im getting really worried... No new scans... Im from Boston:mad::confused::mad::confused::apple:

Still in Korea

I have to believe that my iPad left Korea last night on flight 43 and went through my hometown of Anchorage and then headed to KY and is now on it's way back to Anchorage. One problem... Scan still shows Korea! What's up?

I was on the same plane, and still only have an arrival, and I'm starting to get a little worried. I don't think mines going on another plane, because... as best as I can tell anyway, there's no plane getting it anywhere closer to Green Bay, WI, which means it needs to spend at minimum 8-9 hours on a truck to get to my local sort facility. So unless I'm missing something... I'm going to need an import scan and a depart scan shortly for it to get to the local facility and prepped for delivery.

I'm not panicing quite yet (and yes, I know there's those with tracking information far worse), but in a few hours I may be a little more depressed.

I live like three towns away... I bet our ipads might be on the same flight! Although mine never updated... Did yours leave Guangzhoue china at 4:10 AM?
