Sorry to revive an old thread, but as my original post was exactly one month ago, I just thought I would give an update - and a chance for newcomers to chime in with their opinions.
The thread derailed somewhat from its original intention, but I guess that what happens sometimes.
I have now used the Pacific blue exclusively for the last month, and I still like it. It’s a unique color for sure. But I think the “love at first sight” period is about to wear off a little, as I catch myself looking at my “old” graphite phone more often and just admire its classic beauty. There’s just something about that black camera cutout combined with the black leather case that keeps pulling me back to that timeless look. Also, I think the graphite looks better with a lot more cases, whereas the blue looks just ok with them.
So, chances are big that I will be back to the graphite within a short time. But I’m not quite sure just yet.
So, aside from all the comments about blue getting “outdated”, resell value and whatnot (which I don’t care about).. are there any more opinions out there about Pacific blue vs graphite? And yes, I know it’s all about personal preferences and taste, but I find it interesting to read other people’s opinions 😊

Honestly I would prefer matt black aluminium over any of them. I compared with a 11 the other day and actually found it to be sexier, than my shiny 12 pro pacific blue. I have never been into this glossy chrome look and would have prefered brushed steel like iphone 4, if it had to be steel, but black aluminium from the normal 12 would be even better due to weight.

I got the pacific blue and this case. I am not totally loving this color. Seems dark to me. I got this case to break up the dark blue. I really wish they still had rose gold. I might end up just getting a pink case later

I had a hard time deciding this year, in fact I almost didn't upgrade this year at all, but I got a deal, so I took the plunge. My wife got her PM in Pac blue and my son got his Pro in graphite, so I had those to help me decide. In the end, graphite won me over. I say each and every year that I'll change it up and go with another color, but I always seem to "graphitate" to the black version. See what I did there... LOL. I do like the Pacific blue, but I'm happy I did mine in graphite, no complaints.

Yeah, the blue is great, but in the long run, I’ve got a feeling that I’ll be more satisfied with the graphite. What I love about the blue is the dark blue edges, and the deep dark blue color the phone gets in dimly lit rooms. Both of those things kinda disappears when I put the phone in a case though. The only “odd” color is the color around the cameras. I can’t quite decide if I like it or not.. which is not a good thing, as it’s the only part visible when in a case. As for the graphite, I might be crazy, but I also find it more “satisfying” to have a gray/black phone when I use dark mode all the time.. it just seems more “coherent” in a way... oh well.. first world problems.. but it’s great to be able to share my thoughts on a forum with people who might be just as crazy as me 😂

I have a Graphite Promax, I'm looking to add a Pro to use with another number.
I thought about a 12 and if I was to get that I'd get Black.

Right now I'm leaning to a Silver Pro

Graphite and Silver will be better long runners IMO.

The black aluminium is like a bar of soap v the SS

I pre-ordered gold and when I picked it up at launch and was checking out the PB, I was given the chance to switch if I wanted. I stuck with the gold but really liked the PB and have had second thoughts. My gold phone is in a Baltic blue case and may as well be a blue phone as all I see of the gold is the camera cut out. I'm happy with my choice and overall very happy with my 12 Pro which doesn't have some of the problems common to this year's phones, but if PB is offered next year I might go for it.

I wish it were possible to get a Pro with an un-colored (e.g., silver) frame, but the black/graphite back glass.

I like the graphite back glass the best, but I like the silver frame as well. Specifically, I like that the silver frame can have scratches buffed out easily.

Interesting choice. The discussion is about the Pro Max though which is assume is a different blue.

I bought a pacific blue 12 pro max a month ago. I loved it for about a week.
Now I think I should have gone with another colour.
I ended up covering it with a skin, it doesn’t really matter in the grand scheme of things.
