Right now I'm using Xs Max that includes Apple Care and Theft/loss. It expires on 2/11/21. I'm in no rush to replace it but I've already decided I'll get the 12PM. Color really isn't an issue. I use various cases. The only color I wouldn't get is gold.
I usually get a new phone every other year. My first iPhone was small and I've had the larger ones ever since.
I'll be in the market for a new iPad when the next version comes out, too.

Graphite 12PM for me. Still debating between 128 and 256GB as I'm only using 70GB on my XR currently, but the 12 will have more of a photography focus for me (sold one of my mirrorless cameras, which this will replace), and I've started dabbling with a bit of video too. So I'm leaning towards 256GB.
Agreed that anyone who wants to lean heavily into video recording should consider more than 128 GB storage. Apple claims it takes nearly half a gigabyte to record one minute or 4K/60 video with Dolby Vision -- and that's with High Efficiency video (x265 or HEVC) enabled.
I get that and i have thought about this but given the amount of video i take don’t think it’s needed. I use about 24GB of 128B on my pro so think will risk it this year and go up a size next year if needed.
Another reason to get the max.

Upgrading from XS Max 64GB to Graphite Pro Max 128gb. (Better cameras, faster LTE, 5G..whenever that comes to my area, double the storage now..thankfully, and love the classic flat sides)
The color has been the tough choice. Saw both Pac Blue, Graphite in person earlier this week...both are extremely nice - Pac Blue impressed me more than I expected.
LEANING towards Graphite since black/space gray has been the color I've has since iPhone 4...but still kind of undecided right now.

Too early for demo units as yet; I imagine they'll be in-store on launch day. Unfortunately this means we can't get our hands on one before preordering.
Oh dear. This is a useful poll. If this is representative of the wider customer base I'm going to have to be very fast-fingered as soon as orders open next week because the one I plan to buy, 128GB Graphite, is the most popular model at the moment so I'm guessing that one is going to get its delivery day pushed out beyond day 1 the quickest.
Let's keeping our fingers crossed. I'm hoping it is representative as well since I'm hoping that I'll have a better chance of scoring the 256gb in silver to be delivered by 11/13. Good luck!
I am a green fan so if I could skip last years model it should be a no-brainer this year. But I agree. That blue is real nice.
I want the gold in 128GB but damn the pacific blue is nice...
I'm sure they are anticipating which colors and storage options will be the most popular, and hopefully they have more stock of those models than others to offset that. I'm actually amazed at how the poll results look, with some good spread over all colors and storage options. Hope!!!!
I am a bit shocked by the low silver numbers though. Always thought those would come in second.

Has anyone used the ARKit 3D previews of the phones? Just found them, and it's actually a fun way of seeing how the different sizes look

Silver is probably lower this time because it’s been a default color for so long. If I were to rank colors this year, I’d place Silver 3rd or last. Both Graphite and Pacific Blue are gorgeous this year. Silver remains generally the same while Gold looks different from the previous 2 years.
That is a slight fear, I recall the 6 Plus preorder for me - Sept 12 2014, was kicked to 2 weeks delivery within 2, maybe 3 min. Delivery was pushed up slightly to the Wed. the 24th after that Sept 19 release. (XS Max was a nice fast transaction)
HOPING PreOrder will go smooth next Fri morning, I'll have this in my hands this time in 2 weeks

Went to the Apple store today to decide what color 12 Max to order. It was between PB and Gold. Both beautiful, but the Gold was a little too much bling for me so I was set on PB. I kept comparing the PB pro to my silver Xs Max and just kept thinking the XS Max just looks better. Maybe the rounded edges of the shinny glass vs the matte glass? IDK Just liked the look and feel of mine better. I was only trading it in for the great deal from ATT. Any just my 2 cents.
