I think both the 12 and pro models will be released in September I rarely see Apple falling behind schedule

I was thinking the ‘Pro’ models would launch later, and the iPhone 12/5.4 inch launch first. That is, if they have two separate Keynotes as well.

iPhone 12 “delayed a few weeks’’ as of conference call this week. Hopefully nothing else like virus worsening makes it worse

I’m assuming you are joking?

I think size wise it’s perhaps the best year to date. The last couple of years we’ve had one iPhone to service the mainstream market and this year it seems they’ve realised not everybody wants a large mobile phone and are bringing two. The features sound promising too for what we are getting.

There is no way everybody is going to get what they want. No pro-motion, still has a notch, no touch ID of any shape or form, potentially smaller batteries. Just seems like an overly optimistic post, but then again I am extremely miserable

It’s never going to please every single person I agree. Some people want a mini projector on their phone but I suppose it’s about deciding what makes a complete package. I don’t need pro motion personally, and the notch is ugly but I’m sure i’ll get used to it. Touch ID in the screen is something that can’t be ready yet. Android OEM’s have released poor versions of it and that probably because the technology isn’t quite there yet.

In regards to smaller batteries, does anybody know if the proposed 12 Max has a smaller battery than an iPhone 8+??

I’m certainly not massively looking forward to the 12, I’ve got the 11 pro max and I don’t see any massive improvement between the two. Chances are I will get it anyway but more for tax purposes than anything else (I’m self-employed). But there will be many dissatisfied people this year, but then again that happens every year. As you say, can’t please everyone. I just had to question the original post that’s all.

Wow. You have been out of the loop for a while. It is time you had a “come to Jesus” moment and come back home like the prodigal son. Sowing your wild oats in the amber fields of Android won’t bring you long term happiness.

😂😂😂. I wouldn’t go to that extreme, but in the last couple of years I have purchased both a MBP 2015 & iPad Pro 2018. Told a mate earlier that I was going back to the iPhone as I also want a iWatch, he tried changing my mind saying that even basic step tracking and other health tracking on the watch would give me under 1 day battery and that the battery on the 11 pro isn’t that great, then went on to say that files downloaded on the phone couldn’t be sent to the PC or iPad via Bluetooth with exception of photos and video.

So I hope he is inaccurate for the majority of those things, especially battery.

I can tell you with first hand experience, your mate is wrong, wrong, wrong.

Glad to see you haven’t strayed too far away.

Well in that case brilliant. As far as straying away goes, there was a time that I swore i would get another Apple product. But then came the iPad Pro which has not only made editing the majority of photos a dream on Lightroom Mobile but has also been my main device for surfing the web and checking emails etc. When away from home I do use the MBP quite a bit for the skin softening software which has a Lightroom & Photoshop Plug-in, unfortunately none of the iPad apps have come close. Just need to get Sidecar operational !. But other than that I am pretty much back in the Apple eco-system.
