Cheapest models early, or other way around.

There are reports that the cheaper ones will arrive first, but then there are also reports of quality Control issues with the lenses in the non pro models.

If we are going to get a Keynote next month, then We could possibly get the official word for the keynote reveal on around the 25th Augus, this isn’t official or even a rumour, but just a wild guess

I hope it’s the standard models soon and that would make sense as that’s the biggest market for Apple. Keeping the majority of people waiting longer tends to divert people to other options and I doubt Apple would play that game.

I would be surprised if they even allow lines at all on launch day. I am also on IUP and usually choose pick up at store so that I can hand them my trade. I hesitate to mail it in and take a chance that an employee would drop it and say it was sent in that way.

I want the 6.7 so I'm not sure that will be release the same time as the others.

issue with UK is I think they don’t allow iUP online - in store only? Unless that’s changed

Just like 2017 and 2018, whichever models can be produced first will be available first.

This year, it looks the supply chain has blessed the mainstream aluminum 5.4" and 6.1" models.

Technology has a ticking clock, especially once the engineering work has been finalized. So there's not a lot of logic behind a "staggered" launch except due to production issues.

The ‘digital invites’ will likely be sent the last week of August. With this year being the exception due to C/19, they will likely be sent later, because there’s no ‘event planning‘ this year for this launch. Keep in mind, you have Media, journalist, engineers, from all over the world who attend the keynote, that won’t be the case this year, given Apple can probably take their time with the notifications of the actual event dates for remote log-in and obviously hands-on With product demos is no-go as well.

Pro models delayed till November? Pathetic.

Thousands have lost jobs, more importantly thousands upon thousands have lost lives / loved ones. The vulnerable that have survived hadn’t seen loved ones due to self isolation, still no vaccine either. Yes I am a self confessed gadget whore that is eager for this new phone to come out, but there is more important stuff going on in the world.

I agree with the above it’s only a phone come on now calling it pathetic you can’t be serious you need to get in touch with the real world. Life’s are being lost who cares about a phone being released late or even being released at all. If you can’t wait plenty of other phones on the market.

As much as we would like to believe otherwise, Apple is focused on profits. I find it VERY hard to believe that they will delay until November.

With people stuck at home and events canceled, what else do many have to look forward too? Not much.

I realize that the health of others should be our concern, but there is a tendency to worry about our immediate family. Thankfully, no one I know has been affected by Covid or any other sicknesses or injury.

Considering Apple is verging to be a 2 trillion dollar company, an iPhone release date really doesn’t matter at this point. Apple will always be successful with the iPhone globally, even if this isn’t their strongest year, their main focus isn’t necessarily releasing by a specific day, as long as it’s within the fourth quarter during the holiday peak season to finish the fiscal period strong.

No way of knowing yet. Apple plans and pandemic causing delays are two different stories
Hopefully by November all models are out
