As an android user waiting to switch to Iphone 13 for the first time (Samsung Note) all I care about is being able to multitask like I do in my samsung phone. Split screen between w.e apps I need. Just make it as close as having a macbook in your hand.
If you are worried about multitasking, Keep your note. It's much better for that use.

I wonder if split screen and slide over will ever make its way over to the iPhone. I don’t think I’d use split screen at that size (except video), but slide over would be useful. I hope it happens 🤞.

I doubt it. Apple already has a product if you want split screen multitasking (ipad).

? Of course. Is that your reason for doubt though? If so, very strange. Obviously Apple can and does copy features between products. Notably they brought Picture in Picture from the iPad to the iPhone. Obviously split screen and slide over would require a lot more effort on the developer’s part, so as to the likelihood of it happening I have no idea. Though, as I mentioned, I do think slide over is more useful than split screen on a phone size screen, so I’d say it’s more likely between the two, hence my hope for it (slide over, not split screen).

Bring back the headphone jack. Here is how would be maybe possible.

Just remove the mute/sound switch on the left side from the phone and replace that with a headphone jack. And then, they can just add the sound mute settings in the control center.

Before sharing finances with the wife, I was leasing new iPhones every year on the iPhone Upgrade Program. Now, I’m spacing my purchases out to every three years. That said, I’m really excited to see what features the iPhone 14 brings as it will be the upgrade to my 11 Pro. I wonder if the iPhone 14 will be the last model of the iPhone 12-style flat-edged design or if that will be the iPhone 15. Ideally, I’d like to purchase the last of the generation. I do know that I’ll be holding my purchase for the hole punched style front camera. I would hate to purchase an iPhone with a notch and then it’s removed the following year.

I'd like for there to be an iPhone 13 Pro Mini.

I have a love/hate relationship with the 12 series that resulted in some extreme fickleness this year. On one hand, I adore the size of the Mini and quite like the matte sides. On the other hand, I find myself missing the telephoto lens and wishing that the Mini came with the same back finishes of the Pros. A compact, matte phone with a telephoto lens? Sign me up! Unfortunately, some dreams are just that.

Definitely want the headphone jack back, but not in place of the mute switch. The physical mute switch is so important for every day use and an essential part of the iPhones character.

I'm only interested in something similar in size to the 12 Mini, so assuming they still bring out a smaller phone my 'wishlist' would be (in order of preference):

  • Cheaper price point - £599 (or less) starting price in the UK instead of £699
  • Longer lasting battery than 12 Mini
  • TouchID under screen or on power button instead of (or in addition to) FaceID
  • More muted/less 'loud' colours. More grown up like the colours on the Pro. Dislike the bold colours on the 12 Mini.
  • Smaller/no notch
  • A power adapter in the box again!
Realistically, it's probably just going to be the longer lasting battery and maybe the smaller notch that actually appears in the 13.

Would quite like a radical cosmetic redesign of the next version of iOS to go with it as the current design is starting to look a little too familiar.

While I wouldn’t mind one I fear that ship has sailed.

I'm thinking about pulling the trigger this year because I should be able to take full advantage of 5G in my area and with the unlimited plan I now have. These have already been mentioned by others, but the things that would make a 13 Pro Max a must-have for me:
  • 1TB hard drive - The iPad Pro has had this capacity for a year, and it would be good to have it on the phone so I can finally finish upgrading my 2000+ CD music library to lossless and carry it with me.
  • USB-C port - It's a hassle having to carry multiple charging cables for a laptop, phone, and tablet, particularly when traveling. And USB-C offers really fast charging.
  • Reverse charging - So I don't have to carry a USB-A to lightning cable and adapter just for my AirPod Pro case.
  • Battery life - The 11 Pro Max was the first phone where I could go all day without having to plug in and top off. It would be great at this price point to extend that to two days.
  • Touch ID - Face ID was great until masking. I have the watch to unlock when 14.5 is released, but that doesn't help with Apple Pay on the phone for apps like Uber.
Keeping those fingers crossed, though I don't expect Apple to abandon lightning just yet.

I think you’ll get all of these except USB C and reverse charging
