I haven’t been this blown away about a new iPhone since the 6S came out, the 13 PM is by far the best iPhone ever. I know we all wanted a new design and more software features but this phone is absolutely incredible and that’s coming from a 12 Pro. A part of me think the 13 series is what the 12 series should have been from the start but possibly due to the pandemic it wasn’t meant to be. Still, I cannot fathom how anyone could say these phones are overrated, I noticed a huge difference right away (the new splash screen when setting up for one) and the 120Hz screen is a game changer for sure, you won’t want to go back after using it. I had a similar reaction when seeing my 10.5” iPad Pro for the first time but this is an even bigger impact. Everything looks and feels amazing on this phone, I love it. The content you’re seeing and interacting with feels so much more alive and fluid. The A15 is severely underrated as well, it is so fast words cannot describe.

I have not got around to using the cameras yet but when that moment arrives I’m sure more bliss will be had.

Maybe with the iPhone 14's "new" design you'd see reduced batteries again, and have to wait for iPhone 15 for Promotion + new design + "Best Ever iPhone Battery"! So you might as well wait 2 more years :)..

Saw this trend from iPhone 12's battery reduction vs 11, then superb increase in the iPhone 13 series... so makes sense they might do that again~

So i don't think 13 is that overrated though.. maybe we could have all skipped the 12 on hindsight..

Oh gosh I hope not, was hoping they continue with larger batteries in the 14 series. Hope the 14 Pro Max has 4500mAh or at least a tad bigger than 13 Pro Max along with newer 4nm or is it 3nm chip? Either way, they really need to stay away from reducing battery size.

Phones have reached a point now where they are so advanced that every year will see minor updates rather then a huge overhaul.

I've always preferred the 'S' years of iPhones (e.g. 6s vs 6). To me, this is a strong 12s, and I'm perfectly happy with it. It takes 12 and refines/improves it in almost every way.

Got mine yesterday….and to be honest. Feels like the same as my 11 Pro Max all around. Pro Motion yeah - I can tell it’s there, but someone could turn it off and I wouldn’t mind at all.
It’s a great phone, but not really that much better than the two year old iteration.

Yeah I’d be coming from a 11 pro max. I don’t think I’ll be blown away (not looking to be honestly) but getting the 5g on Tmobile probably alone makes it worth it.

The 11 pro max imo is a very good iPhone.

The smartphone market is pretty much matured and we already have advanced screens, 5G, fast mobile CPUs, and GPUs, and camera technology also has been pretty great, all we see rn is just incremental updates every year. Even entry-level Android phones are getting good screens, decent cameras, and battery life.

You don't have to buy a new model every year, just like with cars, there isn't much difference comparing a 2020 Camry to a 2021 one.

Yes but Apple and in a lesser way Samsung brainwash their fans in believing, say, a 12 is passé, out of date, very very old tech. Can't believe some fall for this. Enough for me to even making me think to switch to a real entry level phone but I will find it on the other side of the fence.

I heard that 5G isn't really available yet in many areas and that it eats battery quickly when it is.

I agree that the 13 Pro Max is what I was expecting on the 12 Pro Max when I upgraded from the Galaxy S10 Plus. Let's face a couple of things...going forward at least over the next few years, incremental changes are going to be the rule and that Apple is going to continue to be cautious adopting new features or taking chances. With the romoured and way too early to tell features, if the camera hump disappears and even with periscope lens and in-display fingerprint sensor, the iPhone 14 batteries need and probably will get larger. Samsung Galaxy 22 lineup will probably up the battery game as the 13 Pro Max battery life is better than the Galaxy 21 Ultra despite its 5000mAh battery versus the 4400 mAh 13 Pro Max battery.

The 13 Pro Max actually has a 4352 mAH battery.

Maintain the battery capacity yet:
1)Reduce the bezels on the next successor to achieve a screen to body ratio of >90%
2)reduce the thickness to 7mm
3)take my moneh!

Unfortunately there is always a better device out there. If there was a perfect device we would all but one but there isn't. As soon as you get another device one hour later a better one comes on the market.

It will all depend on the strength of the 5G signal. A weaker signal will require more battery. Just as it is with any other type of cellular signal.
