How does the new cutout interact with other apps compared to the notch? Is it more intrusive since it’s lower than the notch?
Have you run into cases where it cuts into content like watching wide aspect ratio YouTube videos on the iPhone 13?

It’s slightly lower but doesn’t seem more intrusive. It just takes some getting used to

YouTube works fine so far as most videos get boxed out anyway. Haven’t tried watching ultra wide movies yet but when zoomed in you notice it but it’s not any worse than the notch.

So not zoomed you notice the pill? Cause you don’t with the notch it’s just all black either end in landscape.

I meant by default in YouTube (video not zoomed in) you won’t notice the pill as both sides of the video are blacked out anyway

Early impressions:
The black is very nice.
120hz is amazing (coming from 12 pro).
The pill isn’t intrusive and I actually like it, apple have done well with it.
Camera bump is big.

You're not around here for too long, right?
What's different from earlier years? The 3GS looked like the 3G, the 7-series even looked like the 6S- and the 6-series, the XS and 11 Pro both looked like the X and so on... Nothing new here!

The software gets rid of the pill cut out when it takes a screenshot so you can’t see it in a paused video.

Thanks for the photos and your time in this thread, is 14 PM narrower than 13 PM? and did you see any noticable reduction in the size of the bezels around the screen?

As per the official website :

Width 3.05 inches (77.6 mm) (14 PM)
Width 3.07 inches (78.1 mm) (13 PM)

i believe @Drowssap is asking to watch some video in YT or play some song in music app, then pause that and come to home screen of your phone and capture the screenshot and post the screenshot which got saved in your screenshots folder

Nah I didn’t notice any reductions in bezels or narrower width. 0.5mm different is probably too small to see with my eyes haha

lol now I get what the query was. Nothing happens to the dynamic island when you minimise a YouTube video
