Full case-less on my 14 Pro Max. Only have a Spigen screen protector. Plus I’m on the iUP so I’m not really looking to buy a case every 12 months.
I've always just used a vinyl skin for a little grip, and that's it.You're only going to have your phone a few years tops before you upgrade, so who cares if it gets some scratches? This isn't a keepsake that you're trying to protect for the next 20 years. Go naked and enjoy it
If you have AppleCare+ I don't see why you'd need a case anyways!![]()
Well once you’re 18, you can take off the case and do whatever you want 🙂My dad makes me use a case on my XS even though I haven’t dropped or scratched my iPhones in years (last time was the 4S)![]()
3M and a few other brands make clear paint protection film for cars that works great for an iPhone. Zagg and BestSkinsEver (out of business now, I think) used to sell kit where they precision cut it for you. Check Amazon and Etsy. You could even buy an uncut sheet and cut it yourself (or get a car film installer to do it for you).Do they make any kind of clear film that you can put on an iPhone to protect it from scratches? I have the silicone case for my new Pro Max but the thing that I'm finding is that this phone is one heavy slab of a phone. With the case and a screen protector, it weighs in at 286 grams. That's 39 grams more than my old phone and while that doesn't seem like a lot, the top heaviness of it because of the camera appendage makes it somewhat awkward to hold. And my old phone had a bigger screen. It's making me wish that I'd gone with the Pro. The only issue I'd have with the pro is that I'm used to big screens now.
Anyway, I want to protect the phone from scratches. I'm not too worried about dropping it. But the case and the screen protector I'm using weigh an additional 40 grams. It would be nice to reduce the bulk a bit.
Using a screen protector is like taking a shower in a raincoat.I actually use a case and not a screen protector.
The screen itself feels miles better than any screen protector.
On the flip side. The silver is the most forgiving most scratches are gonna be superficial and add to the patina. If they bug someone too much they can also be buffed out. The colored iPhones and watches. Not so much.Been caseless and screen protectorless since the XS. I don’t drop it too often. Although I will never go caseless with a silver iPhone. Those stainless sides are unforgiving. I’d be using a case if I didn’t have AppleCare. It’s nice to have to be able to fully enjoy the phone in its full nakedness
And pay them the deductible and go through the lottery of getting a good screen etc. no thanks. I cherish what I have and try to keep it pristine.Applecare+ covers damages. So when the time you think the “cosmetic damages” bother you, just drop the phone and get it repaired with a deductible. 😊
