It is my only iPhone. I attribute much to me using my Apple Watch rather than my phone. It has saved a lot of wear and tear on the iPhone battery.

What’s a typical day charging day like for you? How low does your iPhone battery get before you charge back up to 80% limit?

I have a 15 Pro Max still at 100%. I was using the 80% charging limit for a while but I was ending up below 20% by the end of the day, sometimes having to recharge early. So now I’m using optimized charging which allows me to get through the day without charging. Using 80% would be my ideal, but not practical unfortunately.

People are doing better than I am! I got my 15 Pro close to launch and my phones at 93% battery health with 265 cycles. I haven't been using the 80% limit or anything but I do have on optimise charging.

replying to myself from April 23rd...

Almost a month since I posted in here. Latest for me (15 PM) is:

Battery Health: Normal
Max Capacity: 100%
Cycle Count: 74
Manufacture Date: July 2023
First Use: September 2023 (launch day)

I have 80% limit set. Sometimes I go over it. Usually charge at ~20% but will go lower if I need to. I don't always charge up to 80% sometimes I can just bump charge it to 50-60% for example if I know it'll get me through the day or until I am home.

at 91 charges now since launch day and still at 100% health.

So I just noticed my battery health dropped to 99% today after it had been holding steady at 100% (nooooooooooo) So I was curious to see what you guys had as cycle counts and health

***For the "stop obsessing about battery crowd"... Yes i know relax yourselves this is just for pure curiousity and entertainment... I am not actually upset about my battery hitting 99% so please calm down***

15PM
Health: 99%
Cycles: 152

You got me by 4 charge cycles now.. I'm at 334 as of today... Still have better battery health.. I'm not having those issues with the jumping...
The jumping is not always but it is an indication that the battery can not hold the Voltage as good as it should. I am sure both our Batteries will not last much more than 500 Cycles. Apple Care will fix it for free as soon as it gets to 79% or lower.

15 Pro Max, received launch day

192 cycle count
99% max capacity

I don't do anything to optimize charging. Just place it on a charger whenever. It sits on a MagSafe charger every night. Often a MagSafe charger at my work desk, or plugged into USB-C in the car. I like to keep my phone with lots of battery 🤷‍♂️

My X had 98% after 1 year (unknown Cycles, sold)
My XS max reached 1200 cycles with 83% before i sold it
My 13 Pro Max had 90% after 2 Years (unknown Cylcle count)

I saw many 14 Pro Max with under 90% with 1 Year age
My 15 Pro Max is at 87% after not even 1 year

Does Apple use cheaper Batteries since the 14 Series? I have the feeling they do. That stories about the 14 Series where the reason i bought Apple Care for my 15 Pro Max which I think was a very good idea. Hope my future IPhone (probably 17 Pro Max (17 Slim???)) will have again the Battery quality of a XS or 13 Pro Max.

I’ll probably be at 500 when the next one drop.. upgrading on day 1 as I’ve done every year since iPhone came out

I keep it for 1 more year then before the 24 months are done replace for free the battery and sell and get the 17 Pro Max or however it will be named.

So you get each year a new IPhone ? Do you remember the Battery health of the devices you had? Was it normal to be under 90% after 10 Months and maybe even 85% or worse after exactly 1 year?
