Well, it just dropped today. I finally hit 99%. I have only charged this phone with an Apple 20 watt charger. No MagSafe charging. Only 118 cycles, I guess I’m a little disappointed but I mean it’s still 99%.

If you’re using a case then you’re possibly generating quite a lot of heat between 0-50% which could be one of the reasons for the drop if not for any of the usual suspects.

15PM, 103 charges, launch day, 100% health.

i guess i don't use my phone as much as others lol and i feel like i've been using it a lot more recently. it took about a year after launch for my 12PM to go to 99%.

Have had the phone since Christmas 2023… up to 168 cycle count (I'm a regular user).

I have been using the 80 per cent charging optimization. Battery capacity still shows 100 per cent.

Guessing this is still good? Cycle count does seem high.

93% / 325 cycles

15 Pro

was at around 100% until 220 cycles (amazing!)
But I did always make sure to keep it from charging while hot (= no fast wireless charging), used charge limit at 80% etc.

With iOS 17.5 it started heating and having major other issues, and battery health tanked. Since then I also started the iOS 18 Developer Beta (in the hope it would fix some major bugs I had, like not being able to use the Files app at all).

This lead to continued high heat load..

Since a few weeks I also started running more intense games on my phone, for extended sessions. While I do use a peltier element cooler from Aliexpress (100% recommend), it still gets pretty warm.

I've shifted from being conservative about my battery to counting on a AppleCare+ replacement relatively soon (less than a year old and at 93%? Using the phone as advertised.. )

Will update if I manage to get to 80% before september haha

91% with 255 Charge Cycles
Manufacture Date: July 2023
First Use: September 2023 (Launch day)

Until about 220 cycles it was about 50 cycles per percent lost. Now it seems like it's dropping every other week or so. Aren't the 15 series batteries rated for 1000 cycles "under ideal conditions"? Doesn't seem like it'll make it to the 500 mark before it's below 80%.

I don't game nor do anything power heavy; just some safari and youtube all on wifi. Battery barely lasts a full day. I use the optimized setting and charge at night with a fast charger but I've swapped to a slower charger (I think 12 watts or so) but it still went down a percent this week.

Battery Cycle: 93
Health: 99%

The battery health dropped 1% two days ago when the cycle count was 91. I think the main reason was the installation of AltStore to use YouTube Premium. AltStore sometimes consumed more battery and caused the device to heat up. After noticing the 1% drop, I uninstalled AltStore.

Thanks

Overall I am very happy to be at 99% with over 200 cycles. It is holding up much better than my 14 Pro Max.

Hello everyone, since unfortunately the % information in the battery app is not displayed correctly, I have also attached the information read from the "PowerUtil" and "Battery Stats" shortcuts.

I would be delighted if you could also add these shortcuts to your information.👍🏻
The prerequisite for using these shortcuts is that you activate the following on the iPhone:
Settings > Privacy > Analytics & Improvements > Analytics Data

Search for latest "Analytics-....ips" > click share > pick the shortcut

More info and download:

Fantastic find, how does his compare to Coconut Battery (other than this works directly from your iPhone without needing to plug it into your Mac).

Dropped to 90% after about 6 or 7 charge cycles.

The shortcut says 85.86%.

Day 1 iPhone 15 Pro Max here. Solely using the Belkin 15w charging dock. My battery has unfortunately fared somewhat poorly in comparison to my previous iPhones.

175 cycles at 97%. Will likely be closer to 94% by the 1 year mark. Not horrible, but not the best based on my experience with prior models.

Is anyone doing a scientific analysis on this thread?😃
I assume you’re mostly joking. Nonetheless...

Even though I don’t have the resources to do a thorough, every or most conditions testing, and as objective as possible analysis, I intend to post/publish my device battery details and knowledge I’ve gained over the years researching and observing. However, it will be several more years yet because I want to log the full lifespan of my current iDevices. Furthermore, my charging behaviors seem quite contrast to the norm — in fact, opposing the traditional recommended. I do have some interesting results thus far, which I’ve shared somewhat in a few of these battery-related threads. I’m simply waiting as I gather even more data for the “bigger picture” analysis.

Battery Health - Normal
Max Capacity - 100%
Cycle Count - 200
Manufacture Date - July 2023
First Use - September 2023

I have optimized battery charging on, and 99% of the time I only charge overnight, wired with Apple's 20W charger. On days when I know I'm in for a long night I might do a top-up during the day.
