Is the iPhone XS considered a “pro” model? That designation didn’t happen until the iPhone 11.

Remembering the Gold iPhone XS Max. Way ahead of its time.

If you've never held Titanium, it's shockingly light and insanely strong. I'm excited to see this material make its way to iPhone. So ready for a much lighter iPhone Pro.
Sure, but people seem to forget it's only the case. With the battery, glass screen and other components I don't anticipate noticing a lot of difference. For me, Titanium is the least exciting thing about the new phones, and it will look much like Aluminium.

What a gorgeous phone? 😍 I remember how in demand the Jet Black was. Apple needs to bring back something like this.
Very unlikely, I remember all the outcry from the customers after charging their phones a few times and it was already chipped near the lightning port, because some of them had a problem finding the hole apparently…

Do you guys remember how lightweight the Jet Black iPhone was?

I'm honestly surprised Apple has never brought the Jet Black styling back considering how popular it was. They have to know it would sell like crazy when they do (so long as it's not some stupid mid-cycle color option in March).

Yeah. Specifically, it's only the frame. Still, I suspect the weight difference will be noticeable. The 14 Pro is really heavy.

If the battery is larger that extra weight will just replace the weight difference between the steel frame and titanium frame. Does USB-C port, action button and more ram add more weight than the previous components? We will just have to wait until people weigh them.

No offense to anyone but that’s a few extra pennies that would be unnoticeable without a scale.
I’ve refreshed every year, and those 10 grammes from 12 pro max to 13 pro max was so noticeable I tried downgrading to the regular size. And I noticed to 2 grammes from 13 pro max to 14. It would be most welcome if the weight went back down to what the 11 pro max was or less, provided battery life stayed the same or improved. the 13 pro max has been good enough that I never really think about battery life again.

The iPhone X was lovely, and a worthy anniversary addition. I'm calling it now that we will see a very special iPhone XX in 5 years' time, and it will be the first to have no notch or island etc. and it will look like a simple, elegant minimalist "slab".

Is titanium supposed to be more scratch resistance than stainless steel?

I just hope this is the year I will not "need" to put a case on my iPhone.
It should be more scratch resistant. Ti6Al4V alloy (which will be most likely used for the frame) is about two times harder in comparison to corrosion resistant steel AISI 316 used for the frame of Pro versions now.

I do equate a little weight to be somewhat luxurious and euclidative that it’s jam packed with advanced technology. Kind of stokes the ego. The super thin and or plastic phone era never gave me the warm flush like this era has 😂. Don’t shave off too much weight now! Please? Haha 😅🙏🏻
