Thank you for this! That blue looks so much better than I expected. Based on your photos I’m so glad I went with natural, although I’m slapping a case on it anyway.

It’s coming up on 11pm here in Ohio and I’m in bed, although I will have a very hard time sleeping knowing I will be up bright and early to begin staring out my window for the UPS truck… I took some Benadryl to knock me out or else I wouldn’t be sleeping tonight 😅 enjoy that beautiful phone!
The excitement is real! I woke up at 4.30am this morning and I couldn’t go back to sleep.

Now it’s 12.45pm here and I’m struggling to stay awake hahaha

Yes the Apple Store I went to installed the Belkin screen protector for me.

But their machine is different from past years. The phone faces upwards now with the factory sticker and the employee had to quickly apply the protector to prevent dust going in.

In the past the phone was facing down and had less exposure to dust.
Quick question, my phone arrives (I'm in the US) so tomorrow by delivery. I am interested in purchasing the Belkin screen protector. Can I bring the phone in after opening it to the Apple Store for them to install the screen protector? Or is application by Apple only available when bought in store? Wasn't sure how that worked... Anyone know?

The phone feels SO MUCH LIGHTER than the 14 PM. I know the weight is only 8-10% less but Apple has redistributed the weight and now it doesn't feel like a brick. It is also visibly shorter and narrower (small difference in actual mm but you can see it straight away when put side by side).
Nice! This reminds me of when I went from the 1st gen 12.9” iPad Pro to the 3rd gen— the redesign and the shift in weight distribution hade it feel soooo much lighter. Really interested to hold a 15 Pro / Pro Max.

Could you please add a sample of the Log Pro Res in 4K if you get time. Thanks.

Beatiful! Do the screen looks white and crisp? Are the whites even? With the 14 I had tocco swap 3 units due to an uneven display.

I'm not sure as the packaging is different.

What do you mean? Like the packaging for the screen protector apple vs consumer?
The one delivered to customers are in a white/green box retail box.

The ones in store are in a brown paper sleeve ready to be mounted on their in store applicator.

Another year, another iPhone launch!

I rocked up at 8am this morning and picked up my iPhone 15 Pro Max at the Apple Store in Sydney Australia - Natural Titanium for my partner and Blue Titanium for myself.

There were separate queues for walk ins and pick up and they checked people’s timeslots and ID before they let you in the line. There was a massive big crowd but they let people into the store very quickly. Lots of employees ready to serve everyone.

First impressions:
  • LOVE the Blue Ti. It appears mostly navy. Very close to (but a shade or two lighter than) the Midnight M2 MBA.
  • Natural Ti looks much better in person than in photos / YouTube videos. It's got a slight golden hue and has a raw metal look to it. I don't have the AW Ultra anymore but I feel it would be a perfect match. It looks and feels very premium
  • The phone feels SO MUCH LIGHTER than the 14 PM. I know the weight is only 8-10% less but Apple has redistributed the weight and now it doesn't feel like a brick. It is also visibly shorter and narrower (small difference in actual mm but you can see it straight away when put side by side).
  • Rounded edges on the 15PM makes the phone feel easier to hold without a case with better grip. The edges don’t dig into your hands like the 14 PM did.
  • Action button is cool. It is responsive and you get a haptic feedback to tell you it’s active. The press is shorter than I thought but should still prevent accidental presses
  • Bezels are noticeably smaller than the 14 PM.
  • Belkin Ultra Glass 2 protector has no notch at the top, and runs to edge of the viewable display, stopping at the bezel (i.e. No concerns with “curve” at edges”
  • iPhones came with iOS 17.0 installed. It prompted me to update the software first before I could proceed with transferring data from my old iPhone over.
Setting it up now and will post more impressions soon.

Pics below. Pic with three phones are 14PM Space Black, 15PM Blue Ti and 15PM Natural Ti.
Cases include Apple FineWoven in mulberry, Mujjo burgundy leather and Otterbox Figura case.

Bonus photos and video of the Apple Store in Sydney when it was about to open at 8am. Everyone was so excited!

Happy to take any questions!

Thank you for this very helpful post!
Couldn’t make up my mind between blue and natural. Was going to go to store to see them but your pics and the couple of mentions in the thread of a gold tinge to natural decided it for me.
Back to blue it is!
Took 15 mins for the in-store availability to show up (after 6 am) in Europe and QR code for pickup popped in 15 mins later.
Cheers

No issues with the display so far. Looks white and crisp to me (no yellowing)

Is it as bright as 14 pro / max?

Greys on dark mode settings menu in dark looks good and even? No one sided tint (thinking 13 pro, even though I didn’t have one - from photos )

Based on this:

maybe slightly brighter but not much? Would love to test it under the bright day.

That Blue Titanium should come with it's own Apple Cloth! How is the weight? No 1 Reason I have not got a Pro Max for last few years is the ever increasing weight. Glad to see that have reversed that trend.
You ask "How is the weight?" I would think that at this point you could pick one up and feel it yourself.

Just wanted to say "Congratulations!" And enjoy it to the fullest. Appreciate you taking the time to answer questions and post pictures of it. Am not upgrading myself this year, but darnitall, that blue titanium really looks good. Great job, Apple on this one.

Hopefully you can't answer this one now, but do wonder about the titanium scratching. I have titanium watches and they do get scratched pretty easily if you're not careful.

Anyway, thanks again! Hope it treats you well.

No difference with a case on.
Do the materials fell more or less slippery compared to previous gens of Pros? (I am concerned the combination of brushed metal and frozen glass would be very slippery)
