With no screen protector the Pitakas have just the very slightest raised corners. With any screen protector, including even the Belkin UG2 at .29mm, there is no lip. With the Pitakas I’ve developed the habit of laying the phone on its back; with the screen facing down it skates around like a hockey puck… lol. The equivalent Benks models have better screen protection with more clearly raised corners.Someone here said the Pitaka didn’t have any lay on the table protection. Based on the pictures, it looks like the 4 corners have raised lips. Are the pictures deceiving?

It’s been 90% off for 2 years now lmao90% off, no iPhone 16 or 15 cases, and their web site says "All sales final. While supplies last."
I think that's shorthand for "We're going out of business."
There is no way to go back to classic bulky and heavy cases after trying 21 grams Pitaka cases in latest generation for 16 iPhone series. Next step, if you don't want to go caseless, is Arc Pulse (currently 15% discount for BF.) 😄.I’m at around 6 weeks in on these skinny aramid cases. Just love the near caseless feel, the feather lightness, and the direct access to the buttons (especially the camera control). I believe I’m fully converted, don’t really see myself going back to “normal” cases anytime soon. We’ll see what happens when the Gen 6 with CC comes out, but I doubt even that case is going to draw me back into the fold. They’re obviously not for everyone, but if you enjoy the feel of the naked phone, but aren’t quite ready to go caseless, this is a great option in my opinion.

I like them but they don’t offer enough protection for my liking.I’m at around 6 weeks in on these skinny aramid cases. They’re definitely not for everyone. I think it depends upon one’s lifestyle and propensity to drop their phone. Some might also prefer to be able to toss the phone around and not think about it, which I totally get. Personally, I’m a prime candidate for a few reasons: one, I’m retired; two, in many years of owning iPhones I can count the number of times I’ve dropped a phone on one hand; and finally, I’m on the iUP so damaging the phone would be no more than a minor expense and inconvenience.I like them but they don’t offer enough protection for my liking.
The problem is that a lot of these cases look slippery. I like grippy cases. Dbrand's Ghost 2.0 looks very interesting. However, their site doesn't seem to advertise that they have a camera button. Hopefully, if it does, it won't be using copper rods and something similar to a printed circuit board. Do you know? I'll send them an email! The first post in this thread has a list of available (and planned) cases with camera control (CC) buttons.
There is no consensus because each person has different needs/priorities. Here are a few thoughts:
If you can live with silicone as a case material, the Apple Silicone has arguably the best CC button and overall fit.
If you don’t mind clear cases, the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T has a very good CC button, good fit, and is a great value if purchased from Spigen’s eBay store.
The Otterbox Lumen, which is also a clear case, has an equally good CC button, much better buttons all around, but is more of a fingerprint magnet and more expensive than the Spigen UHT.
The Spigen Tough Armor T AI is arguably the best heavy duty case with a CC button.
Supcase, I-Blason, and other off brands on Amazon use copper rods for conductivity in their CC buttons. These buttons don’t work as well as the buttons that use printed circuit boards (Apple, Spigen, Otterbox). DBrand is also using copper rods, which leads me to believe their button is likely to be inferior, but I haven’t heard any first hand reports yet.
That’s my $.02.

The Ghost looks really good. Just did a preorder for one. If you scroll down to the bottom of the page it does clearly highlight a Camera Control button on the case. This could be one of the best cases of 16 series. The problem is that a lot of these cases look slippery. I like grippy cases. Dbrand's Ghost 2.0 looks very interesting. From my phone, it wasn't apparent until I selected the 16. The 16 wasn't the default option when I clicked on the link. I'm sort of surprised that despite coming out in January, the camera button uses only copper rods! That's unfortunate! What's the grippiest case at the moment? The Ghost looks really good. What does copper rods matter? As long as we have all the functions for the CC, it really is no big deal at all. From my phone, it wasn't apparent until I selected the 16. Supcase uses copper rods and the button is not great. Clicking is fine, but swiping is janky compared to the buttons with a printed circuit board (Apple, Otterbox, Spigen). All Spigen cases with a camera button use a printed circuit board? I thought Apple used some sort of sapphire crystal.Supcase uses copper rods and the button is not great. The Apple/Otterbox/Spigen buttons are multi-layered. The circuit board is one layer, the crystal (or glass) is another, and so on.All Spigen cases with a camera button use a printed circuit board? I thought Apple used some sort of sapphire crystal.
I have the Grip case with the button and I feel it works a little better than Supcase. I wish I could do a video on it but they want me to hold off.Oh interesting, didn’t know that. Let’s hope Dbrand does it better.
from what I can remember no but I’ll test it out again when I get home. But not as good as Apple/Spigen/etc?
Thanks for info! Sounds like it's not as solid as the Spigen and Apple CC buttons, but is serviceable maybe. Looking forward to the video whenever they allow you to release.I have the Grip case with the button and I feel it works a little better than Supcase. That’s fair. I’m still working and I have to commute to work five days a week. I also tend to drop my phone although not very often. I do have Apple Care Plus but I prefer not having to rely on it and use it. It’s just there for peace of mind. I’ve only had to use it once in the past. I’m okay with cases that provide all round protection but are not bulky. I’m happy with the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T.They’re definitely not for everyone.
