Man that guys case is about as thin as a piece of paper, I doubt he worries about his phone period lolHow much of a lip are you getting? Enough to out the phone down and not really worry too much?

I’ve only dropped my phone a handful of times over the years, so am thinking of going ultra thin on the case.Man that guys case is about as thin as a piece of paper, I doubt he worries about his phone period lol
It’s 100% plastic on the ArmorAir Aurora. I tried ArmorPro Aurora and that was metal. I honestly prefer the plastic, the metal definitely looked a little more premium of course but seemed easier to scratch.Did we determine if the camera ring is aluminum or TPU? Last I recall, the Aurora has a metal ring but all of the others have plastic rings. Is that correct as far as you know?
So having a thin case means “I don’t worry about my phone period”? I appreciate the predetermined notion lolMan that guys case is about as thin as a piece of paper, I doubt he worries about his phone period lol
I can’t speak for with a screen protector but without one there are little raised corners on each side that allows for the phone to rest face down without it touching the screen. How much of a lip are you getting? Enough to put the phone down and not really worry too much?
OK, got it. So the ArmorPro Aurora is the only one with a metal ring. It also has metal buttons which makes sense. But then there’s this, which throws some confusion into the equation - it appears they’re now starting to ship the “dawnlight gold” (aka brown) ArmorTint with a gold metal ring. Not seeing a change on the other colors though, at least not yet. It’s 100% plastic on the ArmorAir Aurora. I tried ArmorPro Aurora and that was metal. Yea I saw that on their site I’d love that with a desert Ti but wouldn’t want the gold frame with my black phoneOK, got it. So the ArmorPro Aurora is the only one with a metal ring. Yeah, that seems custom designed for the Desert Ti.Yea I saw that on their site I’d love that with a desert Ti but wouldn’t want the gold frame with my black phone
This Benks and the Pitaka “Tactile Woven” are comparable, it’s really down to personal preference. They feel subtly different in ways that are hard to see in images or describe in words. I’d say order one of each from Amazon and return the one you don’t like as much.
I totally agree if I had white or natural iPhone I would go Pitaka as well but Benks is perfect for the black iPhone.I really am liking the Pitaka. Ordering another one tonight. Leaning towards the Milky Way as I had one last year with the 15PM. They are very much improved over last year’s version. They were impossible to remove last year on the 15PM.
I am also liking the natural camera ring look on the Pitaka too. Goes great against the white titanium phone. If I had a black phone I would go Benks for the camera ring being black. Their choices I feel pair better with the black phone.
The Pitaka is essentially flush with a bare screen, and has a negative lip with a screen protector (the photo shows the Belkin UG2 on a Pitaka), so face down is out on hard surfaces. The Benks has a slightly higher lip, so there is some clearance, but only a fraction of a millimeter. Even with the Benks, there’s not enough clearance that I personally would be comfortable laying the phone face down as a regular thing.I’ve only dropped my phone a handful of times over the years, so am thinking of going ultra thin on the case.
I do however put my phone screen side down quite a bit and don’t run a screen protector, so interested in knowing how much of lip there is.
I can’t speak for with a screen protector but without one there are little raised corners on each side that allows for the phone to rest face down without it touching the screen.
I personally lay my phone on its back though so that’s not something I’m too concerned about.
Awesome guys, thanks for the feedback. Going to give it a try and just starting laying my phone camera side down. The Pitaka is essentially flush with a bare screen, and has a negative lip with a screen protector (the photo shows the Belkin UG2 on a Pitaka), so face down is out on hard surfaces. Just curious ... does the Paragon have loose/rattle-y buttons like the Synthesis does? The Paragon has better grip on the sides, both have slippery backs.
I only put my phone face down at times on soft surfaces like if I’m on the couch or have something to place it on face down otherwise it’s on its back.Awesome guys, thanks for the feedback. Going to give it a try and just starting laying my phone camera side down.
The exact same thing happened to me. Hope they send you another oneRebel Gen 6 replacement - went from raised fiber to a nice white dot on the edge that doesn't come off
Can't win for losing with this case.

A thin expensive case with open ports and volume buttons screams “no worries” or “brave af” to me lol especially in a thread where people are worried about phonerbel cases buttons not having linings from defending against scratches between buttons lolSo having a thin case means “I don’t worry about my phone period”? I appreciate the predetermined notion lol
Is the camera ring on the golden tide aluminium or plastic?
I wish Benks would list the material in their product descriptions. Is the camera ring on the golden tide aluminium or plastic?
Agree completely...It seems like they are upgrading some of the models to aluminium camera rings which I think are the silver ones.I wish Benks would list the material in their product descriptions.
Nope!!Just curious ... does the Paragon have loose/rattle-y buttons like the Synthesis does?
Wow, this looks very good with Desert Titanium. I can't resist 😄This case looks even better in person 🔥
Great choice the Pitaka is and this colorway company branding isn’t so in your face …very subtle in person
