I was sold a Clicks case again this year by the old reliable Michael Fisher. The upgrades seemed genuinely promising, and my local Best Buy had them in stock surprisingly enough.

While I still adore the idea of a hardware keyboard for iPhone, Clicks ain't it. The keyboard itself was great! It's a shame because the case itself is mediocre at best.

The edges are a little rough all around. You can easily feel the seam between the TPU sides and the polycarbonate backing. This is especially egregious around the Camera Control cutout. Oh, right, it has a cutout for CC. 🚩

The upgraded buttons are now some kind of metal, my fingers think magnesium. They're terrible. The power button is so stiff and offered so little feedback that I constantly triggered Siri instead of locking my screen. You'd think a case that adds a bunch of buttons would have good ones on the side, right?

Magsafe was surprisingly strong. Held on to my wallet no problem.

The keyboard itself was decent, save for the creaking on the far left side. Guessing there's some internal space that could've and probably should've been filled with glue. iPhoneOS still doesn't like hardware keyboards though.

Suffice it to say I happily returned Clicks to my local Best Buy today. I'm back to going caseless.

I firmly maintain that there are no good cases for the 15/16 lines. The devil on my shoulder convincing me to buy Clicks only reinforced that belief.

Thanks for reading, see ya'll next year when I inevitably try Clicks again for iPhone 17 Air/Pro/Ultra/Quantum/Extreme/Type-R
