I guess it’s just a little confusing since it states the order for the screen protector has been “packed and paid for”. Imo, “packed” implies that it’s ready to be shipped. I got the email about a week and a half ago saying they were hoping to ship orders in about 3 weeks from the date of the email. I figured maybe they were ready to begin shipping sooner than they expected. 🤷🏼‍♀️
might depend on the phone. I know there was the manufacturing defect with for the 16 Pro and Max, but if you got the regular 16 or Plus you might be golden.

Is the consensus from most that the cutout on the Caudabe cases are not great? It seems like most people who I’ve read say they don’t mind it are mostly of the mind of ignoring the button.
Neah. It’s fine. If you don’t like cutouts in general, you will not like this one either. But I think Caudabe did a great job with the cutout. It’s good looking, easy acessible… It’s the best solution for the worst situation.

In other news: after trying 5 Mous Clarities, I finally got one new in box, without any damages. Much better!

I got the Pro Max.
huh, so did I! Yeah, I got an email saying that there'd been a manufacturing defect that would take 3-4 weeks to start shipping and my order - also from September 9 - still says "order placed" rather than "packed and paid for." Who knows.

Why does everyone like the sheath so much vs the ringke onyx. Ringke is slimmer, textured, no finger prints, no MagSafe condom ring and half the price. Easy access to camera button and also flush on sides so easy swiping left and right.

Yep the Frosty Flex is my go to case until the Aramid version drops. Don’t have to deal with the camera control nonsense. With the Max being even bigger this year, this case feels so good in the hand. Not for everyone, but for my needs, it’s top shelf

So people don’t like a cc cutout in the case but are ok with 0 protection all together lol. This case is like a g string with its side cheeks out

FWIW my final choice for the 16 Pro is the Pitaka moonnrise case. Just looks and feels so premium. I really appreciate the thin edges, makes one handing much easier. The Pitaka branding is also a muted grey color that isn't too reflective; much more subtle than the photos depict.

I also think my glass protector (amFilm) is the same height as the edges. But even so I never put my phone face down.

I'll probably get the moonrise stand/grip now too. Anyways, highly recommended.

(And the ESR Zero series is a close 2nd place, but I'll be returning that too)

I may end up going back to a Pitaka. I was feeling pretty good about the Apple silicone at first and thought it felt better than years past. However, the coating has already worn off a good bit, leaving it feeling a bit tackier and also more a finger print magnet.

I think the camera capture button is pretty nifty, but dang it’s made the case situation a pain this year.

My Benks Golden Tide is here (took around 6 business days to get to Australia) and what a high quality and well made case.

I had the Pitaka StarPeak last year and the Benks is the same (if not better) than the Pitaka. And it’s cheaper!

The four corners on the front are slightly raised, above the screen protector that I have. The bottom is fully enclosed except for two small slits. Feels solid and good in the hand, and the MagSafe is strong.

Very nice!

I love my Benks Armor Air case as well. This is my first go round with these types of cases and I can definitely see myself continuing with them in the future.

I actually returned my Stone Gray Apple silicone and I have a Black Apple silicone that I bought on a whim because of the Woot sale but I’ll most likely be returning it. (I actually tried to cancel it but it was too late lol)

The Benks has been my daily and I can totally rock this and be good. I’m not a multiple case guy I find one I really like and I’m set until the next year’s upgrade. Last year was the Synthesis, what a switch up this year lol

I also prefer the Benks over the Pitaka as well for a handful of reasons 😉

I think the cutout on the Sheath is fine. It allows access to the CC button and is slightly "ramped" at either end to accommodate swiping. It's also thick enough around the CC that I don't accidentally trigger it when grabbing/holding the phone. I can use the button easily, but it has to be a deliberate (as in, not accidental) motion.

If you just plain hate cutouts, it's probably going to be terrible for you no matter what. If you don't mind cutouts, it's a well designed one IMO.
Agreed. I was just posting about this earlier. I've been using the cutout on my Sheath and Synthesis now for a few weeks and I've been using the camera control button more than I expected. It's almost programmed in my muscle memory now to use the button to open the camera app. I've found the cutout on both of my Caudabe cases to be really easy to use. I think they did a good job overall. I've got a Paragon on the way which I'm looking forward to. The cutout looks to be the same and if it is I shouldn't have any issues with that either. The case color looks phenomenal. We'll see if it can unthrone the Sheath as my main case.

I haven’t posted in a while, but I’ve been keeping an eye on things. Recently, I ordered the Spigen Ultra Hybrid T MagFit case in Frost Black for the iPhone 16 Pro Max. I placed the order just over two weeks ago, and it’s scheduled to arrive this weekend. I’ll share a picture once it’s here.

I have to say, I really like the look of the Elago and Rhinoshield cases. I prefer simple, semi-bulky designs. However, the camera cutout is what’s stopping me from choosing Elago—otherwise, it would have been my first pick.

Amazon says my Spigen Hybrid Ultra T is arriving on Friday but I’m leaving on a long trip late on Thursday…any chance it arrives early?

I have this case. The camera button works very well. The case is very slippery mind.

For real. It’s kind of comical. “Oh that big Mous camera control cut out is going to get your phone broken” but a whole iPhone g string won’t??

I’d say it’s a trade-off. I am not concerned at all that a cutout would decrease any sort of phone protection. I’m concerned it would worsen the experience using the phone. It seems worse than last years action button cutout fiasco to me.
