I’m really liking Nomad’s magnetic back for my 16P.

It is camera protection and back protection. It leaves the top and sides clean to easily slide into a pocket.

The closest I can to be to having a slick phone while maintaining camera protection.

Yeah looks nice for sure. But many people won't get these as the sides aren't protected much from drop damage. It's a trade-off for slim-ness of course.

The Apple Silicone just continues to be a pleasure to use, love how it feels. Just bought the Ultramarine for a change to the Plum.
hows your plum holding up? I’ve used my denim for all but 2 days while testing out the ultra hybrid t and mine is looking rough. Soft touch almost completely gone and a permanent MagSafe ring is starting to show. Glad I got the black and lake green from woot.

My black is starting to look rough as well. Seems like there is a permanent "shine" to it.

My ultra hybrid T in frost black is fine, but it needs to be cleaned to get dust out of it

I would love one of these but unfortunately Nomad don’t seem keen on making them for the 16 Plus.

Yet another iteration of the Pitaka Tactile Woven. I’m now officially addicted to these ultra-thin aramid fiber cases. I know they’re not for everyone, and I have other cases to swap out to when the conditions demand it, but for around the house and office I‘m loving the near caseless feeling.

No ring but starting to get marks from hand oil on edges. A damp smooth cloth soon gets it clean again.
A small price to pay for the lush feel & great Capture button.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a case I didn’t have to do regularly clean ups. Maybe the Sheath is the best regarding staying cleaner longer. But my fave from last gen, the Benks ArmorPro, was a female dog to keep clean but that certainly didn’t put me off using a case I like it otherwise.

Loving the Ultramarine. Might get the Stone Grey next and hopefully three colours will quench my need for a change now and then.

Update on Phone Rebel Gen 6 Rebel case with the camera control button o_O

Gen 6 with the cutout will be available early November.

Gen 6 with the button will be available mid to late November.
Did they post this on their MySpace page?

My frosted black Spigen UHT arrived today. Nice case, fits well, glossy bumper frame isn’t annoying (I thought it might be after reading some posts). The frosted back panel has a nice feel too it, not as slippery as the JETech case I’ve been using, not that it’s overly slippery itself. That case was also pretty flimsy around the cc cutout along the top of the cutout, no such issue with the Spigen.

I’ll see how it holds up over time, but no complaints on first impressions. I’ll probably only look at replacing it when something decent in leather comes along that has the cc button.

The best case out!

Curiosity got the best of me, picked up the Beats. It’s not bad, and certainly not as bad as some of the hate would indicate. A few thoughts:
  • Very precise fit and light, as would be expected for an Apple first-party case.
  • Excellent buttons, reminiscent of the buttons on the old Apple leather case.
  • Perfect implementation of camera control.
  • It’s super glossy, like glass, which you’ll either love or hate. The plus is that it’s easy to wipe off, unlike silicone and matte TPU which greasy fingerprints cling to more aggressively. The downside is that there are lots of fingerprints to wipe off.
  • I’d forgotten that I kind of like having the open bottom. Swipes feel better, and you have a place for dust and lint to escape when you wipe down the screen. Of course, it also makes that area more vulnerable to damage.
  • Oddly, it can feel slippery as heck, or fairly grippy, depending upon the dryness of your skin.
I’ll probably keep it and add it to the rotation. I love the dark gray, which matches perfectly with the black titanium. The buttons and the camera control are perfect, which is the major selling point. The fingerprints will likely get annoying though. Always tradeoffs…

I have the summit stone and due to the color, fingerprints dont show as much. How easy is it to remove fingerprints from the midnight black? Thinking if getting that color too. Love the beats case and it's always on sale

A quick wipe with a microfiber cloth does the job. If you like a pristine case, you’ll have to do it pretty often though.

Another user posted this over in the leather case thread. Not sure what the implications are since we already have a growing list of case manufacturers using the technology. Could end up requiring licensing fees, or at least some kind of approval process. Would sure be nice to get a definitive answer from someone at Apple (pipe dream, I know).

I removed Bullstrap from the WikiPost.
