Still tempted to try one
I saw that they’re available on Amazon so I was going to suggest that for easier returns (ships from Amazon with 30-day returns), but it looks like they added $5 to the price over what it costs direct from Nomad (probably because people were getting free returns with Amazon vs the $5 fee Nomad charges when ordering direct). Free shipping at least.

I don’t recall seeing Nomad on Amazon in the past - is this something new?

I got mine for the 15 pro from there back in March, so not all that new. They were still charging $60 back then, but color selection, availability and shipping times were hit or miss though. I think I’ve also seen cases (maybe only modern leather) from Nomad at Best Buy as well.

Yep, even the Rocky point bands are up there. The rugged case is like 6-10 days out on Amazon so I won't order from there.
Here’s one that’s 2-day (might be different where you’re located though):

This is from a review on Amazon:

Bought this case for my iPhone 16 pro max expecting nomad quality, well it’s done nicely till you realize the the flimsy front lip at the camera button it’s terrible it’s very weak needs to be mor ridged there is no support there feels like a rubber band…”.

Not very confidence inspiring…

Don't you have this case?
How did you find it...?

A friend has it and I had the opportunity to try it for a time. It’s essentially the same as last year’s, which I liked a lot. The cutout though, I found difficult to use and uncomfortable, which ruins it for me. YMMV.

That's a shame but I doubt I will use the camera button a lot tbh
Is it true about the front lip being flimsy?

Over the camera control, yes. But this is true about many cases with a cutout. That’s likely why some manufacturers choose to use a complete cutout, which eliminates that thin strip of material over the CC.

Oh that makes sense
It's very hard to find the perfect case!

I believe it’s impossible. There are always tradeoffs. This is why some of us end up with too many cases (I finished last year with 15, returned many more). The camera control is making it easier this year because so few cases have a capacitive camera control cover. I’m pretty settled on six, though I may add a Phone Rebel Gen 6 if they manage to include a camera control button as promised.

This process has become impossible for me since Apple discontinued leather cases. However, I’ve found a close alternative in the RYAN London open-bottom case. It’s almost perfect for me, except for being slightly thicker than Apple’s cases. So, you might still find a case that suits you. CC isn’t a necessity for me, so I think this process is a bit easier for me.

Yeah, it picks up a lot of lint, and the grease build up can be pretty annoying, but I keep coming back to this case. The reason is that it’s the only case I’ve found (so far) on which the camera control button completely disappears when it’s not being used. When holding the phone, I literally would not know the button was there, if I didn’t already know it was there. To me, this is a big advantage over other cases, even those with good CC buttons such as the Spigen T series. Of course, as always, YMMV.

Yep. It’s the best feeling case. But the lint and the grease really turn me off from using it. I wish they’d do something about it.
