I’ve been doing some in-depth testing of the the camera control button, fast swapping cases and comparing the various functions. This was with the bare phone, the Apple Silicone, the Otterbox Lumen, and the two Spigen T’s. For the most part, when full pressing, half pressing, and doing quick swipes, they’re all equally functional. It’s only when I compared slow, precise adjustments (mainly zooming) that a clear difference emerged. When doing those small, precise adjustments, the bare phone and the Apple Silicone were subtly better than the Otterbox and Spigen cases. For those who only occasionally use the camera control, or only use it to launch the camera and trigger the shutter, any of the above should work fine. But if you’re using the button for more precise adjustments, in my experience the Apple case provides an advantage over the others.

Why though? What's making the Apple case button better?

I saw an advert for Torras Ofitness. The promo-images look amazing to me. Small Camera-button cutout. Not available on amazon.de yet so I'll wait. Anyone have it?

Need the ringke rugged with a clear back and MagSafe 😤

May I introduce you to the Ringke Fusion-X Magnetic?

Now.....I bought this for my 15 Pro Max last year and found the TPU very flimsy, the sides too easy to pull out and therefore I returned it. (Was a fan of previous gens Fusion case which had MUCH firmer TPU).
According to some here, the Onyx and Rugged Gear this year aren't. So if that's true then it may be that the above Fusion-X might be a a firmer TPU this year.

My Rugged Gear comes tomorrow so I will see myself the rigidness of the TPU of that.

I found the 16PM Onyx as flimsy as ever. Went straight back to Amazon. Hopefully this case and the Rugged are better.

Ordered other day. Mine arrives next week. I ordered the one that completely covers the button as I don’t use it at all.

Looks a little fatter than the onyx. But yolo I’m in for one. If the tpu is is rigid it’ll be a win

Finally got it. Wish it didn’t wobble. It reminds me of a reasonably priced uag case. Which is fine. I’d be in a metropolis case if uag had not become so over priced
UAG camera control cutouts are just too HUGE for me o_O

Ringke Rugged Gear black/camo just arrived and........I like it!

Love the camera protection, not bulky and feels good in the hand. Magnet strong and cutout is comfortable and works very well.
Tried the Ali Express capture button but again it slightly deforms the bar above the cutout so won't use.

Would like more screen lip and although the sides are firm enough for me, the piece above the cutout obviously gives more, they all do.
It's pretty slim for a 'rugged' case, the camera protection and corners being the additions that just about earn that title.

Definitely one I'll be using for now and in rotation.
