May not be case related by might be. I saw Steve Jawbs highly recommend the mothca matte anti glare screen protector.

I installed this one as well. This was the first time I’ve ever installed one myself. Install went ok. Has a guide to drop the protector through. I have a slight lift in top left corner. Can’t see when screen is on and there is a rainbow along the right edge. For $8 I’ll probably just leave it on

I found the 16PM Onyx as flimsy as ever. Went straight back to Amazon. Hopefully this case and the Rugged are better.

Did you get the rugged ringke yet ? I’m curious if the sides are nice and tight , I may also have to get one

Ringke Rugged Gear black/camo just arrived and........I like it!



Love the camera protection, not bulky and feels good in the hand. Magnet strong and cutout is comfortable and works very well.
Tried the Ali Express capture button but again it slightly deforms the bar above the cutout so won't use.

Would like more screen lip and although the sides are firm enough for me, the piece above the cutout obviously gives more, they all do.
It's pretty slim for a 'rugged' case, the camera protection and corners being the additions that just about earn that title.

Definitely one I'll be using for now and in rotation.

Update, got it. Liking the case, cutout is reasonably bareable. Haven't tried the screen protector yet as I've got a flolab one on right now.

I don’t know why people freak out on the cutout rubber bandy thing because it doesn’t even cross my mind ever.

Yeah if you pull on it and F it up that’s on you.

I don’t even touch it. It’s fine.

I wish the material wasn’t slippery on the back. It’s my only tiny gripe. Other than that I think the Ringke Onyx black camo is an extreme epic GOAT case. Simple and only $20.

The rebel on the way is $51. I highly doubt it’s going to make me wanna switch but I am giving it a shot based on previous recommendation.

I did. It’s much better than the Onyx, though not as rigid as the Synthesis or last year’s Phone Rebel (for example). It’s a pretty nice case overall. A few thoughts…

Good:

• Pretty good fit
• Nice texture
• Good grip
• Almost zero fingerprints
• Camera cover is cool
• Slim for the protection level

Not so good:

• Multiple crevices to catch junk
• Slit buttons
• Lanyard slots
• Minimal lip
• Camera Control cutout
• Not a fan of the UAG-ish look (very subjective)

I’m returning it. It’s a good case, and if it wasn’t for the cutout, I’d keep it. I keep looking for a case with a cutout that I can live with, but I haven’t found one yet (probably doesn’t exist). If you’re not sensitive to cutouts, you may like it a lot.

Yea, it works real well. So, the green is translucent like the green Onyx?

It’s up to yourself to stick it up correctly. I have a balance disorder (Menieres Disease), so what could be off-axis for you, could be perfectly center for me.

Edit: yeah, I see it too on the pictures. I realigned it. But it has nothing to do with the button. Very sure you could stick it correcrly.

I guess so - it’s probably getting obnoxious right about now... lol.

The thing is, I promised myself that I would limit my total number of keeper cases to around 6-7, which I’m at, so any new case has to displace one that I already own. So, as nice as the Ringke is, I don’t like it enough that it bumps any of my current cases from the collection.
