Count me in. I cannot report terrible battery life. But I wold say my iPhone 16 Pro Max' Battery is a little bit better than my iPhone 14 Pro's (6,1 inch). It's not a problem for me to plug it in every day, but if I knew I wouldn't be getting any improvements over the 16 Pro's battery, I would've bought myself that phone...

11% from doing basically nothing while on mobile data. Omg.

I just went to Apple Store and looked at display sets. I have the exact same made in July battery set as display models. lol

My phone is constantly WARM throughout my flight, airplane mode. Listening to Spotify offline. Constantly warm for 3 hours. What the ****

Using Google maps while waiting for my grabfood. Live notification. Drops 1 percent every 60 seconds. This is ****ing crap

Y’all remember whipping out your old iPhone 5s during 2022 and surf Instagram and YouTube ? And how rapidly the battery falls? This is EXACTLY what I’m facing with my 16 PRO MAX 512gb. What a joke

For me, it’s the best battery life I’ve ever had on any phone. I’ve yet to run it down in a single day and I’m a heavy user. Most days I finish between 40 and 50 percent left. Yesterday was a light day, off the charger at 6:30, and off until bed at 12:45, just 4.5 hours of active use yesterday, but finished with 56% remaining.

I had 15% chipped off within 1-2 hours of doing virtually nlthjng ( 2 mins on google map, 1 min Instagram, 1 min Facebook, 1 min Robinhood, 5 min YouTube) with the usual battery savings settings (background refresh, Siri, aod, blablsbla all switched off).

It’s light usage, a little bit of Twitter, messages, safari and phone calls.

I think Apple has pulled a Boeing in terms of outsourcing….

Having battery issues as well. Seems to have started with 18.0.1. Overnight lost 5% over 7 hours, but then when I played a game for 3 mins I lost another 4%. You can see the cliff starting at the end of the bars. I’ve previously turned off pro-motion and background updates. Far worse battrry performance than the 12P I “upgraded” from.

Same issue.

Whenever there's an update, the first thing I turn off are the reports under Privacy and the Analytics. It turns them on after each time.

Turn off all background refresh apps, but leave the notifications. It does the same thing. Also, turn off frequent locations if you have them on.

I ended up following the advice of this guy, an ex-Apple employee recommended on one of the iOS 18 threads (he has one for what to turn on, another for what to turn off). I’m getting a bit better battery life now:

Has iOS 18.1 RC improved battery performance on Pro models? Perhaps not many in this thread have upgraded to 18.1 RC immediately, so when 18.1 releases in two days, I hope those who have upgraded will share their observations. Thank you.
