Wondering if someone can help me find a suitable case for my iPhone 17.
My favorite case has always been the black otterbox symmetry case. I like the materials because it’s fairly rigid, slim enough, doesn’t get greasy or oily or show fingerprints, all of which are a no no for me.
I got one for my iPhone 17, but the problem is it’s so snug around the corners that it’s lifting my edge to edge screen protectors and causing use bubbles in the corners. Never had this isssue before this year, but here we are. I can’t smooth the bubbles out because they just keep coming from the pressure of the corners.
Can anyone recommend me a similar case? Something with a similar feel/look. I’m open to suggestions.

Getting this out of the way before someone says it, the Caudabe. You have two options with the 17, the Sheath and the Paragon.
Speaking of the Paragon I ended up returning the precise one and ordering an open one. Always felt like the precise cutouts felt too off and I got fed up with it and went with a Moonstone.

I have been MIA from the thread recently, the case game hasn’t been exciting me as of late, I’m not sure if my interest has just faded, or if the lack of exciting choices is at fault… but nonetheless I have actually been running the big bruiser Otterbox Defender Pro on my 17 pro (black version of the case) and have been loving it actually. The grip is perfect and I find it to be one of the most comfortable in hand. Old faithful. Another case that I have loved for years is the Catalyst Influence case. Last year was a down year for it because of no CC button but this year they added it, so I ordered. It was supposed to arrive today but due to an overnight snow storm, delivery has been pushed to tomorrow. I will report back once I have it in hand.

I completely forgot about Catalyst cases. Can't wait for your opinion on this one.

To add to this I got my first Caudabe case when I upgraded this year and I’ve loved it. I got the Sheath and have been amazed with how good it still looks this far out. 100% the case I would recommend.
if i had a pro or pro max i’d have gotten the magbak elite.

the magback elite is also a good/okay option but that camera cutout is huge. Also, here in Canada its like 100 CAD (canadian dollars)

Looking forward to your review of the Catalyst! The Influence for the 12PM was my most favorite case ever.
However, I do not like the design choice of keeping the boxy design even on the 17 version. One of my reasons for not trying one this year.
I went with the black version! Kind of wish I had gotten the orange phone because in the pics on the Amazon listing it’s got an orange iPhone in it and it looks sick. But I will be sure to post some pics of it when I get it.
I hear ya, the catalyst cases were the best back in the days before the action button… the knobs for the mute toggle switch were unique and no one else had them. But cases that take advantage of the more curved edges of the 17 pro/pro max definitely feel superior in hand. I’ll report back on how this one feels once I have it on hand.

Hey All. My wife bought me a tech woven case for my 17P for Xmas. I love how thin and light it is but not sure I care for the texture. I've been also eyeing up a few caudabe cases. Can anyone tell me how the texture of the sheath compares to the tech woven.. are they similar or no? Or perhaps I'd be better off getting a paragon or synthesis (I wish they had a blue color option for the paragon). Thanks for your input.

Placed another order (my fifth?) for an 'Open' Gray Sheath for the 17 Pro literally 6 days ago where it was showing as out of stock/pre-order for early-January. Now that exact same spec is showing as in stock and ready for delivery, yet mine hasn't shipped.
I hate this company.
