Thanks for that, just picked it up. Got my phone yesterday, but my Spigen Thin Fit which I ordered to tide me over until my Sheath arrives is lost in the ether/mail. This is the only case I could buy instore here with precise cutouts.

Quick review- a bit meh, to be honest. Good fit, excellent buttons, but very little lip on both front, sides and back, and not much grip. I don’t think the phone would survive a drop without any damage. The cutaway for the flash is slightly misaligned too.

It’ll do for a week until I get the Sheath, but I can’t recommend it.
Re Native Union Active case:

Sorry for replying to myself, so to speak, but I’m beginning to change my mind about this case, in a positive way.

The fit is truly excellent. Tight, zero sag. No phone frame is visible at all. The back is textured. I have very large hands, but some texture/grip on the sides would be good.

The edges are raised slightly, I was wrong earlier. Not much, but they’re there (I have a screen protector). Same for the camera - maybe 0.5 mm around the bump.

Magsafe strength is excellent.

Micrifibre lining, good.

Buttons excellent, camera control seems OK (but this is my first experience with that button, I skipped the 16).

Still not convinced how well it would protect from a drop, and the cutaway misalignment is irritating (but not affecting function), but it feels well made and comfortable.

Cool, have one coming on Friday. My OCD will not be able to handle misaligned cutouts, praying mine is OK.

Can you post a picture showing this misaligned opening? Thanks.

Wow, that looks incredible! I’ve been wanting a midnight blue leather case for so long and it seems like this is the answer. Does it look dark blue in most lighting?
Yes, and it definitely doesn't look black.

I know some people don't like that it's TPU on the top and bottom (you can see in my photo) But you can't really tell and the case doesn't feel cheap. The 17 version has a CC button now too, and it works really well.

Pro or max?
Max

Good cases have had a black one on my 16 pro all year.
Had the agave color! It was the main case I used, and I thought they did the CC cutout really well.

I have a Black TW and it's great. Feels really durable, gives adequate grip too. Love the pop of colour from the Plateau cut out too. View attachment 2562643
Been using the black TechWoven with my deep blue since I got it while waiting on the Caudabe Paragon. I'll have to say the TW has been quite pleasant. Looks and feel are great. I may be using it more than I thought.

Apple’s cases aren’t bad this year. The TechWoven could just fit a little better around the corners - it’s not that bad, but could be a little tighter. The bottom of it around d the USB C port is pretty sharp for me. The grip is fantastic though and feels great to hold. The silicone is pretty good, I’ve been enjoying it - but it’s still overpriced (Apple Tax lol). The clear is better than before, but the solid white back is what ruined it for me because if you have the orange or blue phone, it takes away from the color. They should’ve either made it completely clear, or made color option for the other two colors. But the buttons and grip of the case are definitely improved, and I’m here for it.

After trying a bunch of options, I realized every case that covers the plateau area ends up looking bulky, cheap, or just plain ugly. Honestly, an open plateau is the way to go this year even if it means scratches in the area. A good workaround, though, is applying a transparent skin for some extra protection without ruining the look.

I really don’t get why there aren’t more clear skin options to cover this area there’s clearly a big demand for it.

I'm using the purple TechWoven with my silver 17 Pro. Love the cases very much because they slip in and out of your pockets so easily! And for special situations like clubs, festivals or anything crowded I have the black silicone one. Because it's so sticky I feel more save and protected against pickpockets, turning the disadvantage into an advantage... ;-)
There was a 30%off promotion here, still expensive but better than the full apple fantasy price tag...

I'm 'naked' at home haha, but out and about, not confident yet. The Alu frame on this is much more slippery than the 15PM, so more concerned about dropping it out and about. I'd like to go the full coverage skin route, but from experience in the past, getting the phone in and out of cases becomes much more difficult. Either it's too tight to get in, or its that tight that when you put it in, the skin peels off.

I disagree.

In most of the pics I've seen the black TW looks more like dark gray, but yours actually looks black. Would you say your pic is an accurate representation of the color, or is the lighting making it look darker than it normally does?
