I don’t know about gaslighting the customer but I certainly wouldn’t worry about the metallic camera surround touching the glass. It’s not tungsten carbide; the metal is going to deform before it damages the glass. It might actually do a better job of protecting the phone from damage if it’s aluminum.
I wish you were right, but we’ll have to agree to disagree on this.

The back is hard plastic and very slippery. The Apple Silicone and Sheath have inherent grip all around. While the Paragon has decent side grip, the back plate has none. In my opinion, it looks nicer than it handles.
Yea that’s what I like about the Sheath.I didn’t like the 15 Pro Synthesis because of not having all around grip and hated the smooth, “plasticy”, slippery back.

BUT the 17 Pro Sheath is too heavy and just 1mm too thick.

I’m telling you, man, give the Techwoven a shot! I really think you’d like it a lot.

Otterbox Symmetry Cactus Leather has been great to use the last 3 days. Fit is the best of any case I have tried so far. The grip is middle of the road but not slippery at all, its similar to what a new real leather case feels like out of the box.

dBrand Grip is coming tomorrow. I've heard mostly good things about it so I've got my hopes up.

Cactus has been my favorite vase thus far, although I have been in the Mous black leather the last few days and thoroughly enjoying it

Well I’m looking for something more protective than the Apple Silicone and Apple Techwoven. I realize going to be some sacrifices…

Received the Pitaka Ultra-Slim 600D today. This one fits perfectly, unlike my last one, which was loose on the top corner. Contrary to what the Pitaka rep told me, the metal camera surround still sits directly on the glass plateau as I suspected it would. It’s clearly designed this way. This is a beautiful case, and it feels incredible in the hand, but even the smallest impact on the metal surround is going to destroy the back of the phone. I’d suggest if you’re going with one of these, get AC+ and treat the phone as if it’s caseless (never a bad idea with this type of case anyway). Unfortunately, mine will be going back to Amazon.

Honestly with a case as thin as pitaka even without the metal camera touching the phone I wouldn’t trust it dropping it. Though I still doubt it would be an issue as majority of drops hit a corner etc from what I’ve seen even the 17 pro pitaka is the same way and that phone isn’t as durable as the air

I have tried and really like this Spigen:

I want to try this one but can’t find it on Amazon?

I’ve seen several people over on Reddit today report it failed their involuntary drop tests, so be careful with it I guess.
I’ve phased it out of my rotation for that reason. Have other cases I like much better than it thankfully.

Have you tried the Nano pop?

In the Mous Limitless today. While I still don’t understand the design choice to add edges back to a case for a (finally back to) rounded iPhone, the rest of the case feels very nice. It’s pretty grippy thanks to the slightly rubberish finish, the buttons are nice and clicky and even the cursed Mous CC button works as intended. I must say it feels the most protective out of my case rotation so far. It’s definitely chonky.
