Ultraguard is in and it is legit. The fit is top notch, buttons are great, and it's very thin. Going to test out MagSafe shortly.

That looks awesome! I’ve never tried one of Pitaka’s more protective cases - only the very thin ones. I wasn’t overly impressed with Benks QC on the more protective case I got from them last year, but I think Pitaka seems to have better QC generally.

Got a Dbrand Ghost 2.0 at Best Buy today, as I’ve been wanting to try one for a while. I was nervous mostly about the CC button being overly loose.

My first one that I opened in the car had a scratch on the back right where the Apple logo is. Thankfully I was still at the store, so I walked back in and exchanged it. Second one was perfect.

Overall, I really like the size and weight of the case and the buttons are excellent! I’d like if the CC button didn’t move at all, but I don’t find it much of a big deal - even as someone who is very attuned to detail.

I don’t have a screen protector on my phone right now, so I have no issues with the lip around the screen. However, I can tell it would be nearly flush with one on, which might bother some people.

In summary, I’m thinking it will be a keeper. Now if I can just not read about any other cases…..I might be set for the iPhone 17 Pro.

My 1 and a half month old silicone is still in perfect shape! My previous ones from my old iPhones are also still in pretty good shape, no chips or tears, except for one in which my phone had a really bad fall. I’m usually very careful with my phone so idk if that makes a difference or I’m just really lucky haha
Makes no difference I fear. I treated my phone with the silicone case on it like a raw egg and the case still chipped at the top. Same for @macher
idk if it’s a lottery or just bad batches in between, but I’ve never had an Apple silicone case last more than a few months without flaking off.

Oof that is some bad luck! Thankfully they’ve been really solid for me. I think the longest one I kept on was for my iPhone 11 which I used for an entire year and it has no chips or damage.

Yep my happened in a week.

Been watching reviews of the Rebel Air. Looks to have a nice form factor with rounded edges. Plus not silicone but still going to be heavy.

Still loving this Gripzilla black/clear case. Haven’t taken it off since I got it. Comfy and looks the best with my phone out of the ones I have tried so far. Haven’t even looked to order anything else since lol.

I got nothing new, so here is the Sheath with updated buttons

Running the same combo.

Tried Paragon and Tech Woven over the weekend but returned to Sheath.

Its the best case available which ticks everything for me. Weight might be an issue for many but not for me. Mine is only a Pro so its not that bad.

I might pick Grey or Blue Sheath next.

I have a Pro and the Sheath is heavy, 14g heavier than the Apple Silicone. I really like the Sheath except for the weight and thinking I should just run it and maybe I’ll get used to it.

does it have any screen protection? did you happen to weigh it?
there is no screen protection even without a screen protector and i dont have any way to weight cases so. its a very minimal case so if you are the person who drops your phone a lot i wouldn't recommend it and if you do drop it hope it doesnt land face down. the back has ok protection as the plateau is covered though

For me its all about overall protection. I would love to run my Terra Cotta silicone on daily basis but it’s not protective at all. Same with Tech Woven.

I’m looking for overall protection too. Been contemplating the Paragon because it’s thinner than the Sheath but not a fan of having a slick back.

When I ran the 15 Pro Sheath never used other cases. Checked most of the boxes. Don’t know what’s going on with the 17 Pro. Most likely I went from 15 Pro to 17 Pro.

Here are the specs of the precise Sheath and Apple Silicone for 17 Pro. I’m pretty sure it’s the Shocklite material in the Sheath that adds the weight. Almost identical except for weight and thickness.

Sheath
153.6 x 75.9 x 13
44g

Apple silicone
154.4 x 76.5 x 12.1
30g

Still loving the Tank. Beauty really is in the eye of the beholder as I think it's stunning. I honestly keep picking it up and looking all over it many, many times a day. Can't say I've ever done that with other cases.
The black Xtremeskinz I put on in lieu of the Dbrand forthcoming one really made the misaligned holes a non issue.

I guess you are committed to a black plateau if you go this route which may or may not effect your opinion on the aesthetics of open plateau cases if in rotation, but seeing as I will probably stick to the Tank or Sheath (precise) it's a non issue, maybe a problem for another day.

Couple of slight negatives after using for a few days are that I use a MagSafe Benks popsocket equivalent (two original Popsockets have broke so no longer trust) when in bed as I find it's needed when lying down, but I find it a little uncomfortable in that instance. And I struggle one handed use whereas I can just manage on most other cases with my big hands.
Not a huge issue.

Anyone ordered Bellroy Venture? Im thinking of ordering it.

Edit: Ordered lol.

This is one I've been wanting to try. Next time I'm near a Best Buy, I'll pick one up.
