@Hooterville did you get your X One camera plateau protector?
I ordered some clear stickers from Aliexpress, and so far it has been great and been holding up pretty well. I ordered more to hold me over for the year since I do not use cases and only use a bumper when I’m away from home outside of work.

On another note, my Caudabe Paragon Ember precise is out for delivery today. I will not get to unbox until after my work this evening.

China plateau protectors in the house. I'll try to install one later tonight and report back.

They even shipped them in a box, that was a surprise.

Got home from work not too long ago and ran the Sheath the entire day. Getting used to the weight. Not going to run the Apple Silicone.

If I’m being honest with myself the Sheath checks most of my boxes. I also like the fact it’s more protective than the Apple Silicone.

You can’t beat the form factor of the Sheath. Yes the Apple Silicone is “like having a skin” but I want protection and the Sheath does that without sacrificing the form. The rounded smooth edges and same all around texture. No fingerprints or smudges, good grip and protection.

Don’t think I’ll like the Paragon because I don’t like cases with slippery backs. I like same all around texture.

Just a quick follow-up. After speaking with multiple Pitaka reps, they’ve pretty much convinced me that the metal camera surround on the Ultra-Slim for Air does not touch the glass back of the phone in normal use as I thought. Because of this, I‘ve gone back and edited/deleted a couple of posts so as to not be spreading misinformation. That said, one rep admitted that it can make contact in a drop. So in the end it’s a mixed bag: yes, it’s very slightly floating above the plateau normally, but in a drop the metal is close enough to make contact and potentially damage the glass back. The takeaway: don’t drop your phone in this case, which was my point in the first place, and I suppose can be said of any ultra-thin case.

Well.

The Caudabe hate lasted a long didn’t it 😂

Multiple people who vowed never to order from them again now declaring them as the best cases.

It’s almost as if some other members had a crystal ball and could see that this would happen 😂😂😂
Well yea. Just don’t order from them until 2 months after release and you’ll be good. Don’t get tempted to pre-order just wait until the dust clears and they get their sh*t together.

Just looked it up and for me, here in the UK, and having AppleCare the cost of screen replacement is only £25 ($33) so think I will be going screen protector less.

So now that the Caudabe fiasco seems to be hopefully over. How’s everyone liking their Caudabe’s?

Anyone ordered Bellroy Venture? Im thinking of ordering it.

Edit: Ordered lol.
Ordered the white/grey version last year. It stained within a week (not sure from what) and it makes the phone really wide and bulky. Returned within the week.
