Just heard back from Caudate about my Paragon order from 11/21. The stock is still not in, even though this was supposed to ship "mid to late November". Likely just going to cancel at this point
Officially canceled. Caudabe makes excellent cases, but this roll out for the 17s might be the stuff of legends for how bad it’s been. Very unfortunate

Cancelling mine too at this point lol, Grip + Gen 7 got me covered on cases that are slim with easy swipes, which imo Gen 7 is even better as it has claw corners and even more protective.

Got home a while ago and decided to slap on the Sheath and give the Paragon a rest. I thought I liked the Paragon slightly better but now I don’t know. The Sheath just checks all the boxes.

Without factoring weight I call the Sheath “the non silicone Apple silicone”. All around same texture, all around grip, curvy edges, clicky buttons. No fingerprints unlike the Apple Silicone.
I forced myself to use the Apple Silicone over thanksgiving to break it in and now I understand your hype.

I just got my sheath today and it’s a brick! It’s so heavy after using the Apple silicone.

Sheath is better.

Dont get me wrong Paragon is an excellent case but Sheath is class and class is permanent.
I’m considering these caudabe cases, but their unavailability on Amazon makes it challenging to make a decision. I can’t simply purchase all three to test their feel. The paragon case appears appealing, but I have a hunch it might be too slippery for me and could potentially attract fingerprints. The synthesis design would likely be perfect, but I’m not a fan of the frosted back on my orange phone. The sheath looks great, but I’m unfamiliar with that particular texture style.

Currently, I own the Torras q3 air case, and it’s not even close to being worth the money. It’s a fingerprint magnet on the back, which is surprising because ultra hybrid Spigen cases with very similar frosted backs never got greasy for me. Additionally, I don’t need the air bubbles that add bulk.

The texture on the Sheath you’re either going to love it or hate it, no in between.

This forum has always been a bit of a Caudabe circle-jerk (I’m as guilty as the next person). I think we talk about them so much because they deliver spectacular cases one minute and spectacular failures the next.
Don’t worry give it time until the condom ring starts.

Just received the Paragon in Moonstone (open) and in black (precise) for my iPhone 17 Pro. Placed the order 23/11, so 9 days from order to receiving in Oz was a pleasant surprise.

Initial impressions for the Moonstone, getting the case on felt tighter than the sheath and synthesis. The TPU frame looks lighter in person than the website renders, the colour is the same as the gray sheath. The back of the case has a smooth, sort of light textured sheen that doesn’t leave any fingerprints. The Moonstone reminds me of the Nomad Modern case in Lunar Gray but with better grip.

At the moment, my Caudabe case ranking goes Synthesis Frosted, Paragon, Sheath.

Here’s some shots of the Moonstone Paragon with the silver buttons installed. They go together really nicely I think.

If I order a Paragon, open plateau is defintiely the way to go

When I first ran the Sheath it felt like a brick too. I got used to the weight.

Looks sweet. Silver buttons are a must with moonstone.

That’s a sharp combo. 😎

No offense, but after living with the Air, the Pro looks crazy thick and boxy. It’s interesting how our perceptions change as we get acclimated to whatever is new…

Exactly. Same can be said what others have said about the Sheath or other cases “oh that’s heavy”. However from my experience that changed one I got acclimated.

Maybe the Tank and buttons. Still holding out on Phone Rebel until I get a look at that plateau cover deal.

Also, if I even get over to Best Buy maybe that Bellroy joint, got a $10. off store coupon
Just stick with the good ole reliable battle tested Sheath.

@Ava* get the Gen 7 yet?
Yep, landed an hour ago.

Comes with an orange action button.

First impression: Feels like a bit more substantial version of the Air 2 with less pronounced and thus more comfortable grip strips. Overall not as grippy as other cases I have here, but very comfortable to hold because of the round edges and comfy USB cutout. All buttons are nice and clicky, CC button works as intended, all cutouts are precise. Camera bump is surrounded by metal, but there is a gap between plateau and metal, so enough space for the case to move without scratching the phone, I hope.
Much like the Mous, it has additional schockabsorbing material in the corners, but the Gen 7 does not feel as substantial as the Mous. It feels more sleek and almost minimalistic, close to the form factor of the phone.
And here I thought the Grip was a rigid case. But the Gen 7 absolutely takes the cake when it comes to that 😂

Finally got my Ember Paragon here in UAE, slight delay due to public holidays. What a BEAUTY!!

Been reading here about the comparisons between Sheath and Paragon. I last owned a sheath for my 13 mini and it felt bulky AF for such a petite device so I was hesitant to get myself a Sheath for my 17 Pro. I was previously rocking the Black Techwoven and I know its lighter but to my surprise this Paragon feels lighter and more svelte. I cannot explain it.

When everyone was saying its a tight fit they were not lying it is really tight AF, I had trouble getting in it (pause). But the camera side first followed by the volume buttons then the bottom corners worked a treat.

Honestly this is probably one of the best feeling cases in the hand in a while. I can see why it's popular. Sharing some pics also in case anyone is interested on how the Ember looks on the Cosmic Orange. I do have to say the case is more vibrant and the website renders don't do it justice. The cosmic orange looks muted next to the case.

If you are on the fence about the Paragon I say give it a try. I know Caudabe have many issues (I was hesitant to pull the trigger too) but I believe they are also the most talked about here for a reason, because when they get it right, they get it right.

Looks nice! Most important part is how it feels in the hand. I would think and anyone correct me if I’m wrong, that even though the Gen 7 is more minimalistic than the Mous it offers pretty darn good drop protection as good or if not better.

Exactly. I hate it and prefer the Paragon. The Sheath looks and feels cheap. The bumpy texture looks and feels like fake leather to me. Just my opinion. I think the Paragon looks and feels premium. But hey that's why the make more than one style.

Feels like fake leather? lol WTF
