Never tried a clear case, does anyone have a strong positive opinion about a clear case they love? I'd like to do some exploring out of my comfort zone lol.
Dbrand Ghost: I had it, but returned it. The sides were grippy, but the buttons were not really firm. Also, as someone else said you will notice lint and dust under it as well.

TAC Onyx Clear: I have this case, it is super thin and doesn’t have any buttons, just cutouts. It is smoked, so you won’t notice dust or lint nearly as easily. If you hands aren’t dry it isn’t too bad on grip. This case doesn’t cover the plateau.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid Matte (Frost Black Orange): I am using this case now, it has nice button clicks, recessed CC button, frosted back and covers the plateau. I have not noticed any lint or dust under the frosted part yet. Can be a little slippery, if they would add some texture the black sides it would be much better.

Spigen Ultra Hybrid T (Matte Black): I am awaiting on this one to arrive tomorrow. I also went with the dark matte translucent option to limit dust and lint being seen. This TPU material is on the sides and over the plateau and I think it will give some grip. I am not sure how the lower covered part of the back will feel, but I will report back if others want to know. The buttons are different so not sure if they will be good or bad, will see tomorrow.

I have the version for the Air. Not bad, but because of the soft material and open bottom it pops off the phone too easily.

I called this the first time I saw the bumps on the inside of the camera plateau area. Me, no buy 🤣

Can't imagine what the hard inside shell of the Otterbox Defender would do to the sides of these phones

OMFG!
I just found this thing in smaller scale on my Air too after wearing Arc Pulse 🫣.
Now I constantly hover my fingers over this place 🤦‍♂️
😱😳

Are there already any reports about the Paragon? 🫣😂😂

I personally don’t like clear case and don’t think you’re missing out. I get it though boredom causes one to venture out lol.

Dbrand ghost is nice but it’s fingerprint city with its crystal clear back and also you’ll see pieces of lint under the clear.

Synthesis with its frosted back mitigates those issues but it’s definitely not the slimmest feeling case it’s quite boxy but the Ghost definitely isn’t slim either.

Also I personally hate seeing the big old MagSafe circle on any clear case frosted or crystal clear.

I just had to hit you with the negatives because I’m sure you’ll hear plenty of positives from the clear case fans and you can make a prime decision with all the info gathered 😉
Thank you! You nailed it, my curiosity is out of straight boredom with case selection and wanting to try something new. You just talked me out of it! thank you!!!

😅

I have the clear case. It’s incredibly nice to hold but also slippery and collects detritus like a magnet. Loose around the bottom bit still incredibly hard to pry off the phone. Also not protective at all. I shelved it like one week later. Waste of money imho.

Congratulations!

I’m still waiting for my Sheath to arrive. It arrived and cleared customs together with my Flolab case in France for some reason and both have not moved since then (Sunday for the Sheath, Tuesday for the Flolab). Maybe there‘s delays because of the snow… Still wonder why they are routed via France from China.

Edit: okay both just updated to ready for outbound. But still in France.
My Sheath was routed through Netherlands 🙂
