Never tried a clear case, does anyone have a strong positive opinion about a clear case they love? I'd like to do some exploring out of my comfort zone lol.

Who doesn't like their stuff wrapped in clear plastic covers?

Of course, those who go naked will probably raise accusations of pots, kettles, black, for case users, but there has to be a line drawn somewhere. ;)

But seriously, it's up to you, and you alone.

At least on the plastic antenna portals, the blemishes shouldn't be difficult to polish away.

Wallpaper twins. Great minds methinks…

Finally caved and purchased a caudabe synthesis frosted! I absolutely love my black and blue tech woven cases but the synthesis I have always had in my rotation for years. And with all the positive feedback I keep seeing, I had to get it. Also, didn’t hurt that I had a 15% off coupon I had no idea about. Didn’t order any other color buttons, I’m not big into customizing my cases. I like leaving the cases the colors that they came in. (Minus the phone rebel gen 5 that came in the awful gunmetal that didn’t match, had to make that black).

Okay looking at this damage from an alleged 8-9 inch fall in a Belkin case, I have the urge to wrap my phone in the AirX and some additional bubble wrap 😅 I’m already babying it, but having to baby it for two more years….? Not looking forward to it.

How are your phones holding up in your respective cases?

I always treat my iPhones like raw eggs. Usually, even after a few years, they still look like they had just come out of the box. However, I haven't dropped one yet.

To paraphrase JerryRigEverything: Aluminum is aluminum, and aluminum dents.

If damage is such a concern, have you considered swapping it for an Air?

Holding up great in the Sheath. Couple of 3-4 ft drops.

Honestly, no. The camera system and lack of stereo speakers was the biggest reason not to go for an Air. It’s beautiful, but sadly not a phone for me.

I’ve had countless aluminium phones before and damage was never an issue while I was using them. It’s probably overblown at this point, with people not being aware that it dents easily. And because cases that were protective enough for titanium and stainless steel are no longer working as intended.

Like my 15PM toppled off furniture onto hardwood floor a few times in its life, all in slim Torras, Nomad or Pitaka cases. The worst that happened was a broken screen protector when it slipped off my drivers seat onto the driveway in the Pitaka case. I would not want to repeat all of that with the 17 Pro in these same cases. 😅 But I am acting accordingly and putting actually protective cases on my phone.

These current Pro phones seem more susceptible to dents than prior aluminum iPhones (and most other aluminum phones). My theory is that it’s because they’re the heaviest aluminum phones Apple has ever made. The greater mass combined with the softer material naturally produces more damage. The opposite seems to be true of the Air, being the lightest phone they’ve ever made from titanium.

I agree that the current crop of cases may be a contributing factor. With the long run of stainless followed by titanium Pro iPhones, cases in general have gotten thinner and lighter. I mean, look how few people are talking about the Otterbox Defender or UAG Monarch these days. Perhaps these more fragile phones will hasten a move back toward beefier cases as you’re doing with the AirX.

New paragon color was just released - Azurite

That color open with a Deep Blue phone would look amazing! It doesn’t do anything for me personally.

Why now and not earlier?? 😫😥
Think I will order it… 🤬😅

Ryan London cases for 17 series are currently on sale (£40). So what happened…
I received a confirmation email for my order, only to have it cancelled seconds later 😡
I’m done with this brand!
Its a shame what happened to them. JUN had a cult following in the patina proud forum then they shifted their "business plan" and it all went to poop! I haven't ordered from them since, but I hear their quality has dropped significantly as well and their cases were top notch IMHO>.
