No CC button though 😄

Never owned the original iPhone. I started with the iPhone 3G and been using iPhones since.

I was into “jailbreaking” at the time and would get features on my phone from Cydia (it was the jailbreak AppStore) way before Apple decided to release them. Anybody else?

Me and some of my old friends would nerd out on all the features and when Apple finally decided to release more features into iOS I always remember being like I’ve been using this already for a while now, finally Apple! lol

What was everyone’s first iPhone?
Man same I was 12 when the 2g came out. Saved up and got the 3g late in the cycle and fell in love with speck candyshell cases

I’m so old that I started the cell game back in the day with the original Motorola FAT brick phone 😳 Can’t even remember which iPhone model I had first.
You had me researching mine...was this Ericcsson from 1995. I was an Ensign in the Navy going to Nuclear Power School in Orlando, FL. That little flip up rubber antenna. (Not my photo).

Still have my first iPhone - 3GS and it still turns on when I charge it. This was from Jan 2022.

I traded my 3GS when I got the 5S. The 3GS had a lovely, white, curved back.

I traded the 5S for the 6S as it had some damage, which the Apple store didn't care about and gave me quite a bit of money for.

I kept the 6S (still got it; was and still is a backup phone) and got the 11. I still have that but the screen's trashed and now have the sage 17.

After jailbreaking my 3G I refused to buy a new release until there was a JB available. I still miss folders in folders!

But as it started to take longer and longer for the JB to appear, and even longer if you wanted untethered, I gave up around the 7. Took a while to get used to a non jailbroken iPhone.

Fortunately the jailbreaks during their prime came out pretty quickly with the new phone releases/iOS release. You just had to make sure to stay on your current version of iOS until an updated jailbreak came out.

I stopped at iPhone 7 Plus as well. My 3G, 3GS, 4, 5 and 6 Plus were all jail broken.

I remember I had a control center, dark mode, haptic keyboard etc way before Apple decided to release those features. During those times Apple adopted a lot of their software ideas from the jailbreaking community.

The iPhone 4, prior to that I was full on Nokia from the 3210 up until the Windows devices that they bought out and then it went to ****. I got most of my Nokia handsets (mostly Symbian s60 handsets and all the N series range and some E series) free as I used to test the devices for them before release.

I caved (because of all you) ordered the sheath, took it out of the packaging and they sent me a used case, there is wear on the back of the case and lip around the front, including some liquid splatter on a corner from who knows what. I am so disappointed. I was truly looking forward to it so much and I ordered the celestial buttons to go with it. I already emailed Caudabe, waiting to hear back.
Want to provide an update, Caudabe got back to me and they’re sending me a new Sheath.

Since they haven’t asked for the original back, I put the sheath on and man, this is the case, it’s what I have been looking for a more “protective” case. Super comfortable to hold for being thicker than the techwoven and silicone cases. And the grip is fantastic. I’m done with cases. Black and blue techwoven, midnight silicone and now my black sheath (precise). Done with cases unless they release a royal blue or just a brighter blue sheath than celestial.
