Excuses.....If you want to create your own thread with your own rules, then go ahead sir, no use crying over my rules if you don't like them ;)

You should title your thread "I can install different modems on my phone, so THERE!"

By the way, I'd also like to note. None of you android users seem to want to touch the android malware problem.

picking and choosing....picking and choosing

LOL, no its not excuses. I havent been reading all the debates because it ia tiring. Just read your last one.

Your "rules" are just stupid if you want a real comparison. You should of titled yours "I can nearly do what Android can when i hack my iPhone and heres why".

All your trying to accomplish with that is to see if your up to par with Android while hacking your phone. Well, yes you are ...almost, but if we hack ours, we lose you in the rearview.

As for Malware, ive never had a malware problem in 2.7 years and this has already been a big debate in here.
The big malware problem is in China. It is not in the USA Google Playstore. Are there some infected Apps here and there? Yes and Google has eliminated some of them but even though it is a smaller number, Apple has had those too.
Common sense comes into affect here and you just have to use some.

I dont care if you ever use a Android device and feel no need to try and convince you to. I just see this thread being very juvenile and knew it would from your opening post.

No it was just about you saying things like open source > closed source implying anything closed source is worse than open source.

And then i am showing how android is the only open source OS doing a fine job so far, when it comes to desktop apparently no one cares about open source. I would say a normal guy doesn't even care about open source in mobile space. Just open. I was just pointing out the difference between the two.

I don't care if my OS is open source, but i would definitely like it to be open. Those two are different.

I thought I explained to you Iwas directly talking about android vs ios

And, he wasn't done ;)

open os - safe and secure "closed" system i.e.: doesnt have the massive malware issue android has

I think the malware issue could be handled much better by google, but apparently they are no Microsoft. I have seen zero malware on my win 7 PC in last three years (cannot imagine i haven't reinstalled or tweaked windows, wow) so being open doesn't mean you have to swim in malware.

Also, google could moderate their appstore much better but they don't.

It is my point of view that android could be much more great than it currently is, but in the hands of google it is nothing more than a giant mobile vehicle to generate ads and ads come first, android second.

Yes you did, i get that sir, but i was pointing out that single statement that gets throw out by many out there who don't know they are themselves violating it :)

For real this time? Or will you be right back? :)

I used bump as an example of an ability we have that may counter your ability.

Bump is hardly close to the same thing. One would have to use it to know what we mean and what im talking about in you not really wanting to know how things work or how is better. You just want to argue.

bump is not wifi direct

So are you done or not? Still trying to figure that part out as you have stated it twice now...

If you want me to agree with you that wifi direct is not bump, I do. And I will concede that point. (Unfortunately none of you or your android counterparts have the capability to do the same when you lost a point)

Funny how I'm the biased one here but the only one conceding anything.

I wonder if you'll concede on not being able to use an hdmi cable statement after you were proven wrong.....maybe now since I brought it up again? ;)

Yes I want to debate, looks like i'm the only capable of doing this without getting upset :(

in that case apple is not only closed source/locked down its also a closed file system that wont let you do pretty much anything with files other than using iTunes

Well, i would say iOS, not Apple, because OS X is pretty much like windows, with a file system, able to install stuff you like, and other things.

Locked down makes more sense, which i wish was more relaxed. I have opened it a bit up after jailbreaking and i think iOS still does fine. Hopefully Ive can find a creative solution to app piracy (because they don't like people not using appstore, lets face it, it is what really completes iOS devices) and then open the OS a bit more at least. Or give us better and fluid file sharing options between apps and computers and we won't complain.

Take a look how fast my SD card is in my gs3...the stock internal SD did like 40mb/sec and my uh1 64gb ultra card did 300+ MB/sec

That image is saying that your read speed is faster than the maximum read speed for UHS-II. Clearly that is not correct.

The fastest read speed for UHS-I is 50MB/s or 104MB/s depending on the kind of card you have.

Maybe it means Mb/megabits (not MB/megabytes). That would be about 41MB which is a lot more realistic.

Info about speeds can be found here: https://www.sdcard.org/consumers/speed/bus_speed

328/8 = 41 so i guess it is in Mbs instead of MBs.

Is that MIUI?

Miui screwed up my gs3 so bad a few months ago.I won't chance ever running that ROM again.it wrote over my modem and GPS and put my cell in a hard roaming lock and was trying to use towers from Japan and wrote out all the baseband info for our lte we use for Verizon.

It took me like 4 hours of legit programing and I almost tossed the phone.no reset or Odin would fix it and I flashed modem firmwares and everything.

I had to go in and manually rewrite the hex with a hex editor and force write certain parts of the modem.it was a complete nightmare lol

To answer your question right now I'm on stock ota rooted touchwiz with just a few tweaks as I like the stock ROM a lot.

Even more then pure asop

Ah ok, because that SS looked very much like MIUI :)

I think you being in verizon is why MIUI messed it. Verizon devices are not very compatible with every ROM out there. CDMA is just too annoying i guess.

I am a big fan of MIUI though, ran like a champ on my captivate and the lighter skin was a breeze. I am also no fan of the dark and black aosp skin with no soul.

It was a cached run but I went on anadtech and asked about my SD card and they said that its the fastest one you can buy right now.it was almost 100 bucks its sand disk ultra 2 extreme or something like that

Perhaps you are using UHS-2? How much did you buy it for?

I was a huge miui fan back when I had a droid x and loved that rom so much, you could do so many things and spend 2 days making your cell look a way and then a few weeks later start all over again dl different icons and themes and make the cell look completely different.

It wrote over the qualcom nand memory and wrote it to there basbands and I was lost I tell you,I can root unlock mod and do everything on android like riding a bike but that sucker took me in for a ride,I had to do a full eeprom dump of the modem hardware and use a hex editor to read the dump and fix all the code it wrote over and re write that back to the phone threw Linux lol I legit almost sold the phone.

Ill take the card out and find out what is is and run a real bench on a computer if windows supports the file system its using,I tried it in a bunch of phones and it only worked in the note 2 and gs3 and all the others wanted to format to fat 32

I bought it back in oct and back then it was the fastest for that size, its the sadisk ultra uhs1 64gb and I just ran a atto disk bench on it with my laptop and got around 41 mb/sec and it looks like sandisk now has 95 mb/sec cards but only up to 16 gb

here is mine benched
