I have a 6+ and control center doesn't lag if you swipe. Flicking, yes.You have to use a 6 Plus to know what we mean. Whether you flick it up or do it slowly, it's laggy. In fact doing it slowly only exacerbates the issue.

Fresh installs won't tell you how it performs till after it finishes indexing, which will take until after all apps have been redownloaded. For me that's at least 12 hours. Usually it doesn't settle down till 24.I can tell you it still lags on 9.1 even after a fresh install.

Upgrading is a much better way to gauge performance quickly as it doesn't need to reindex. I upgraded. It's bitchin' fast. As in, not even close to as slow as it was on 9.0 PB 3 or GM.
Wish I could take a video. It's impressive.
You re right, no device is buttery smooth, but ios 9 should be an improvement over ios 8. I can even dare to say that my 5s is indeed perfect on 8.1.4 but that s not the case on ios 9. So, stop being an iSheep and stop defending ios 9 cause right now it s worse than 8.If your "funny" comment wasn't a sarcastic jab then I apologize. But the point remains though. No smartphone on the market is buttery smooth 100% of the time. Even top spec computers aren't either unless you're running a 5+ year old OS. It's just how it is really.
I can already see it now for the month of November when the public can get their hands on the iPad Pro. Apple even claimed "buttery smooth" in the keynote, but I'm sure people will find small instances where it won't be at all times, and then deem it to be a flop.
I tried upgrading from ios 8.1.4, still lags so your argument is invalid. Please take a video, because mine is more like "bitchin' slow"

Yep.I'm not being an iSheep. Stop claiming your own experience as fact that iOS 9 is worse as a whole. Your experience doesn't equal everyone's. 9.0 and especially 9.1 beta 1 is quite ahead in performance vs 8 on MY iPhone 6, and same can be said by many. You just don't hear about it because forums will mostly only attract unhappy people and complaints, not praise. It's not perfect (nothing in reality can be) but it's still an improvement and better than any other option by competitors.

Right now is probably a good time to try it yourself as you can still basically choose 8.4.1, 9.0, or 9.1 after trying them out.I want to upgrade to 9 very very badly, but I am confused, for every one person that says it's awesome there are 3 contradicting it. Surely there isn't that many different models of phones.
And every one of us uses apps, texts, calls so IMHO why do installs vary so much.
I get the point "everyone uses there phone differently" but if we all use apps and make phone calls, music, text, games ex, there isnt much else different to do unless of course you are jail broken, I just can't get why there are so many differences with installs
I wish I'm still on 8.3 and there ain't no getting backRight now is probably a good time to try it yourself as you can still basically choose 8.4.1, 9.0, or 9.1 after trying them out.
Ah 8.3 what a breath of fresh air! I wish I was on there with my 6. If you like how your music app is and value response time is stay right where you are at.I wish I'm still on 8.3 and there ain't no getting back
Check out the imzdl iOS 9.1 beta download page. There are 35 different firmware configurations. 9 is supported on a lot of different hardware.I want to upgrade to 9 very very badly, but I am confused, for every one person that says it's awesome there are 3 contradicting it. I love the music app as it is currently on 8.3, not to mention the battery life from 100-0% about 8 hours of very heavy usuage (on my 6) apps open instantly, very responsive, no lag/stutter anywheres.Ah 8.3 what a breath of fresh air! From most posts I've read on iOS 9/9.1 98% are between the 6 and 6 plus. Sure there are a few iPads and older model phones but the majority are 6/6+Check out the imzdl iOS 9.1 beta download page. There are 35 different firmware configurations. 9 is supported on a lot of different hardware.
I will amend what I said earlier though. After starting up the Facebook app on 9.1 for the first time the app switcher did start to stutter slightly when the animation slows to stop. Bloody Facebook and it's memory hunger.

Oh, you have a special iPhone 6 that's different from everyone elses.
More like, I have an iPhone 6 that performs like the majority of the 180+ millions iPhones sold in the last year, and not like the small percent who don't.
Many people have a different experience. It's always been the case even with the same products. Most won't have issues or at least issues that most would see as teoublesome, while some will have some issues, but even among those the issues can and will still differ in many instances. That's basically the reality of it all.So you're honestly telling me that you have a better iPhone 6 than me? When I do a fresh install of iOS 9.0 GM (not beta), and set up as a new phone, it will be just as smooth as iOS 8.4.1? Because with me, iOS 9 feels like a step backwards performance-wise and I know for a fact that my iPhone 6 is no slower than your iPhone 6.
I don't have a 6 plus but I can tell you my experience on my 5s: safari works just fine, the emailing stuff works good with no problems, the messages app has a few lag issues with the keyboard and the animation with the bubble text which is laggy and all works when making a phone call. There is still a delay when opening apps but it s very small and you get used to it, the switcher is only a bit laggy when you tap on an app and Control Center lags really bad with or without the fancy blur effects. Again, this is on my 5s.Hi,
Can you confirm what the experience is like on your iPhone 6 Plus using safari for surfing , reading and sending eMails ,sending texts and making phone calls.
Lag from opening up apps and opening up the switcher or control centre are background worries for me.
I'm at this time a little more interested in using the phone as above.
