Moved from Spotify to Beats Music today. Spotify is just too slow on updates. Not just this one, waited a year for the iPad app to get up to date with essential features as "your music". They must be the slowest moving devs in all history... Someone should buy them a coffee machine
and what are you feelings on the switch ?. Usability, sound quality, and availability ?
Delivery Status (or now just Deliveries) has been updated. It includes a Notification Centre widget.
Usability:
- Harder to share songs amongst friends
- No que song function
- Playlists and finding new songs are pretty much the same, once you find them.
- The Sentence works a lot better than spotify radio
- Seems to adapt to your taste better than spotify
Sound quality:
No audiophile here. I imagine that it sounds a little better, but it's probably the same.
Availability:
I found a lot of songs I missed on Spotify, and yet to come up short compared to Spotify. I see less ****** cover songs, tradeoff would likely be fewer unknown artists. As I listen to very mainstream music, it's not something I would notice.
Conclusion:
I'm not sure it's a better music service right now, some kinks here and there. But if you're as fed up as I am with Spotify's laziness. It's not a hard choice. It's tedious to rebuild your library, so keep that in mind. That was by far the biggest obstacle for me.
Thanks both of you for the Beats review. There does seem to be an app for copying your spotify data to Beats. I haven't swapped yet, so I haven't tried it.

I've actually switched from Spotify to Beats and then to Google Music. I must say my favorite of the 3 is Google Music, rarely have the crappy cover music(band) issue that I saw on spotify constantly. & the Curation on Google Music is on-point as well. I believe Google bought Songza so it's the same type of select from 3 playlist type of deal. Overall my favorite- and I believe right now they are doing 3 months trial for free.
How do we get the developer's attention to not be lazy and treat the 6+ as a plain iPhone but utilize its unique capabilities in the manner Apple has already shown?
