Truly enjoying my beautifuly designed and crafted S7 Edge. Simply world dominating. The irony here is, the Kool Aid drinkers have nobody but Sammy to thank for keeping Apple moving ahead faster than they'd like with their phones. OLED? Flexible OLED? Yeah, make sure to send a picture of yourselves on your knees thanking Sammy putting the mobile tech where it is.

You just pointed out yourself how the difference is basically the opposite of stark...and then you say that it's stark. There's that twisted logic yet again.
The difference between the S7 and the 6S in MY video is they are about the same with the S7 slightly faster in some areas and the 6s in others
The difference between the S7 and the 6S in the OP video which is suspicious is that the 6S is basically annihilating the S7 in speed. In fact in the second lap its almost ONE MINUTE slower which shouldnt happen. Now when you compare the animations of THIS S7 to the one in my video they seem to be very slow and unresponsive. That can either mean the test is rigged with the transition animation scale being altered in settings which can HEAVILY slow down an Android for testing purposes OR the S7 in the video is full of a ton of bloatware.

My point is the difference between the 2 S7's is stark.I call the original video invalid and biased as even the S6 in front of me is NOT that slow

Your beautiful designed S7 Edge has a useless curved display and can't sustain intensive calculations without heavily throttling.
Yes, I'm thanking "Sammy" (a friend of yours ?) because with the S7 they demonstrated me I choose the best smartphone on the market , the iPhone 6S, even 6 months after launch.
Thank you Sammy :D

The test is biased. Here's a real test

I wouldn't quote XEETECHCARE either as a source as he makes really stupid / ignorant mistakes in his videos. In his S7 Edge v S7 test he kept claiming the S7 Edge is a slower because it has more pixels than the S7 because it had a bigger screen !!!!!!!!

So yeah, a font of knowledge to be held up as a disclaimer of anyone else, he is not.

Here is that embarrassing video ... :) Also he often uses phones that have been boot loader unlocked or tampered and still compares boot up time ? I watch his videos to see some of the newer handsets - but usually end up frustrated by really unprofessional mistakes and claims.

Such a pointless test at this point. Who in the real world uses their phone like this? Any modern phone now is fast at just about anything.

The only thing I noticed from the video is the absolute killer screen Samsung has. Hopefully apple switches to amoled soon.

Indeed the S7 is full of a ton of bloatware: it's called Android (and touch wiz) :D

You've got a little confused :D

Last year these speed test did at least highlight the problems the S6/Edge/Edge+/Note5 had keeping apps in memory.

However this year Samsung have really improved here, and the fact is pretty much ALL the flagships whether android (LG/Samsung/Moto/Nexus) or iOS are pretty much fantastic performers in day to day usage that the end user would notice very little real difference between them all. Biggest differences are usually down to subjective preferences.

They are all very fast and more than capable of doing what 99.95% of the populace want and expect out of their flagship smartphones. Sure there is a tiny vocal niche who want their phone to do something obscure that will lambast or lament devices that don't perform this task, but they are at the end of the day a tiny insignificant minority .....

People should stop using YouTube videos as proofs of something.
According to YouTube, iPhone 6 is bending by itself, pigs are flying and there are Aliens in the Area 51 :D

What you call bloatware,I call features. The S7 Edge can do a ton of more things the iPhone cannot.Touchwiz has features Stock Android does not

I mean the S6 in the other room my colleague is using. It nowhere near as slow as this video show

Hopefully apple won't !
I'm sorry but considering the drawbacks related to OLED technology I'd like Apple to use a better display, for sure, but with another technology.

"Samsung to be Apple’s primary OLED display supplier as it invests up to $7.5B in readiness"

http://9to5mac.com/2016/01/14/samsung-apple-oled-supplier/

Korea’s ET News claims that Samsung will become Apple’s primary supplier of OLED display panels, stating that an agreement has “practically been decided.” Samsung is reportedly gearing-up for the contract with an initial investment of between $2.49B and $3.32B in plant and equipment, rising to $7.47B depending on order levels."

Oh, there is a thing the S7 can't do for sure: runs iOS.
That's enough for me.

amoled is MUCH better then previous years and has matured alot. There is a reason why samsung gets the display award every year.

What other technology would that be? There is LCD and amoled and thats it.

It's just a rumors and 2018 is far...
We will see, but I won't be happy about that (unless ALL th drawbacks of OLED technology will be mitigated by then).
For the time being, even if I concede Samsung 's display is terrific, I much prefer an IPS LCD on my iPhone 6S and probably on my next iPhone 7.

It is, but still has heavy drawbacks: sub pixels wearing in a different way depending on the color , a ridiculous PenTile matrix and an extremely high power consumption displaying whites.

LCD still have interesting development (like quantum dot).

There is something you need to know in your little conspiracy world : this thread is a speed test comparison between iPhone 6s Plus and Galaxy S7 Edge. This is not an iPhone 6s Plus vs Galaxy S7 Edge device comparison. I (and a lot of people too) absolutely love the Galaxy S7 very bright and sharp AMOLED panel, its gorgeous design and many of its others strenghts.

I also like a lot Android and I think it's getting more and more mature these days with Lollipop and Marshmallow but here we are not talking about stock Android, we are talking about that crappy TouchWiz. A fact is a fact, from multiple videos and others reports, TouchWiz is just an unresponsive and laggy OS which is way back behind iOS, again, in terms of speed !

This doesn't make me an Apple fanboy nor an Android/Samsung hater. I'm just someone who doesn't live in his (hater) world (because, yes based on every single posts you wrote, you are indeed an Apple hater) and accept reality. Last year, Galaxy S6 beats the iPhone 6 in terms of speed, this time iPhone 6s beats Galaxy S7. Again, deal with it.

Anyway, I don't even know why I'm writing this you will only read 1/3 of the post and respond, again, with your conspiracy theory and other crap denying the reality.

Ah was waiting for the insults.

I don't need to thank anybody, maybe thank Marconi who started it all.

I will research quantom dot, this is the first i am hearing of it.
As for the pentile matrix the resolution is so high that it does not matter at this point.

Im going by the eye test and amoled now looks brilliant. Dont get me wrong, I love the display on my 6 Plus but amoled is better all around imo.

Me too, I think Apple is behind the competition with their display. Resolution (1080p) is good enough but I think the panel looks a bit dull compared to some others.
Anyway, I think Max(IT) is right in a way, some LCD screens are beautiful, have bright colors and deep black just like OLED. Have you seen the Xperia Z5 Compact ? I've played with it last time in a store, and damn does the screen is absolutely beautiful. When I was back at home, I checked the specs and couldn't believe it was a LCD 720p. :D

Or, you know, other people's experience can be different than yours, after all you apparently have some really slow iPhone with a bad battery that you use to judge all other iPhones by even though most others don't have the same issues to the same extent...amazing then that the same logic could apply to the Galaxy phones, right?
[doublepost=1458312445][/doublepost]
Kind of like that rumored photo of iPhone 7 production that you posted as proof or indication of something that wasn't really even showing anything and was proven the same day to be a completely different phone.

And to be perfectly honest this speed test video completely rules out the S7 purchase from a neutral point of view as it seems be a slow bloated unresponsive POS.You realise what a 1 MINUTE lag time means?

It could have a 4K resolution yet I cannot deal with this much speed difference (which again I reiterate seems BS)to even consider getting this

you are perfectly right.
Samsung is all about tech specs, used as a marketing gimmick to say "I'm bigger than you".
But using a smartphone is all about user experience, and I think Apple's way is much more balanced.
What's the meaning of use an insanely high resolution (higher than your own eyes capability) if graphics performance are affected ? Easy: the wow effect to the public.
What's the meaning of use a 4 or 8 core insanely high clocked SoC if it can't thermally sustain it maximum power ? Easy: the wow effect on benchmarks.
And so on ....

Don't get me wrong: I like the Galaxy S7. But I wouldnt buy it over an iPhone.

Yeah. All said and done, if Samsung needs a 2016 processor and twice as much RAM to compete with an iPhone, we know who's the winner here.

I prefer TW over pure Android too. The majority of TW complaints have always been exaggerated and has never affected productivity for myself. And I'm a heavy user. So if stutter and lag was as common as people claim, I would have been moved away from Samsung. The S3 was the last Galaxy device that I had frequent problems with, and still had majority of trouble free usage.

The few very minor grievances on TW don't outweight the fustration of being locked down on iOS and refusing minor updates cause I don't wanna break my jailbreak and wait forever for another one.
