iPhone 6(S)/Plus iPhone 6S - Restoring from Backup Stuck at Time Reamaining: estimating...

I can vouch for the magic. I have been screwing with the phone for over 2 hours and nothing would happen. I tried everything then started reading this thread and all of sudden it is restoring. Amazing.
 
WTF WTF WTF i read it and i was like theres no way this works. it was stuck for 2 hrs with no change. Then It suddenly became 44 min and then 24 and then 2 and boom! crazy crazy magical stuff. adonai echad
 
Ok... Another account made to share the voodoo.. After ~10 hours, this thread was my solution. I don't know how, I don't know why, but I ain't complaining one bit.

Seriously this thread is magical. Thank you whoever started it, I was so sceptical but having had my phone stolen and thinking all my information was lost in cyber space, I now have all my contacts, photos, messages and memories back. So grateful! (created an account purely to post this!)
 
So i was waiting at estimated time remaining at icloud restore for around 20 mins, i thought it took a long time because i'm almost full on a 64gb device. Decided to google in case there was an issue, came to this website and read the first post, glanced down at my phone to see 38 mins remaining. I thought like, it was just normal that the estimating of time took that long, then i went on to read the rest of the comments. This is so cool i'm saving the link to this thread.
 
at first i thought yall was lying but as soon as i got to the last page the screen went from estimating to 13 minutes remaining to less than 1 minute remaining in a matter of minutes
phones stuck on less than 1 minute now lmao but still..............madness

Well, I read through the forum, finally got a time remaining of 4 days. Created account, went down to 1 day. Started making a post, went down to 5 hours. Not great after waiting so long already, but at least its progress.

This is very very creepy... I was looking at this post to see what fixed it and i had to make an entire account on here for this, but as soon as i typed my username on here, the bar started moving. even creepier, I untyped my username and the bar went back to estimating time!! I tested this multiple times, its all about magic!!

Created an account to let you know that as of late July, the karma is gone, busted, kaput!

Now the Time Remaining has actually moved and is at 17 minutes. So, yeah, still working!

Oh - look - done and rebooting now. That was the same sorta "17 minutes" I'm always tell the wife about!!!
 
Yo I was really going through worst-case scenarios when I stumbled upon this thread. Went from "estimated" to "9 minutes" after earlier attempts of leaving it be for 20+ minutes did nothing. Didn't think this'd be the day I got a Macrumors account, much less the reason...

Thank god! I googled it and landed on this magic page.

Tried like 3-4 hrs after left Apple store. No luck. Restore/erase*10 times.
Page 1 not moveing... fk it
Page 2 not moving..... @#$@#$... maybe I'm somewhere in Asia this magic thing doesn't work that far.
Page 4!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG 42MINS LEFT!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Page 7, 21mins. (4:05PM)
4:20pm now.... it shows the Apple Logo again! I love you all!
 
No magic here unfortunately. I will let this sit for a bit though hopefully and we will get lucky.
