iPhone 6(S)/Plus iPhone 6S - Restoring from Backup Stuck at Time Reamaining: estimating...

Wow!!! So thankful for this thread! Had to make an account to say it worked for me too!
I tried desperately for hours trying to restore, but kept getting stuck at time remaining, 'Cannot restore backup' or invalid Apple Id, etc.

No lie, just after reading the first page, it started saying 20 minutes and then quickly restored! Thank God!
 
I believe, the Truth is out there!

This is insane, my phone had been stuck on time remaining estimating for ever. Literally the second I searched for this and starting reading the thread, 34 mins remaining magically appeared. It had been stuck on estimating FOREVER and the second I open this thread it updates.
 
I'm not going to lie. I was googling for this problem. I read threads on reddit, read other articles, watched youtube videos. Nothing worked. I then start reading this thread - I kind of scoffed at how people were saying the phone started working once they opened this thread. After the first page of those replies, I checked my wife's phone that had been stuck on this screen and it started working. Add me to the list of believers.

I literally just made an account to say this worked for me too! I waited half an hour for it to restore from an icloud backup, then using google, I found this thread. Once I got to the first page, my phone finally gave me an estimated time remaining on my restore!
 
Made an account to confirm the voodoo is real... After 30 minutes "Time remaining: estimating..." I read through this thread and return to "About 27 minutes"!!

Thanks thread gods.
 
I can't believe this. Found this page, started reading posts and thought there is no possible way.... Said what the heck and checked my phone..... 18 MINUTES REMAINING!!! I just laughed until I cried. :rolleyes::):)
 
I literally can't believe it.... I was at the apple store trying to restore for about an hour and no luck. I went back to my office where the internet is blazing fast.. stuck. Then it said unable to restore from back up about 6 times. I reset it. Stuck. I read about half the thread...8min remaining! Unreal. I'm a believer.

P.S. Like a lot of other people on here, I created this account just to post this...
 
created an account after reading this thread. Praying that I get some of that magic because I'm getting so stressed out from this phone not restoring.

This is ridiculous. I didn't believe it but here I am. My iCloud restore has finally started moving. I don't care what kind of sorcery is on this page but I wanna thank it!!
 
Guys....I'm seriously dumbfounded! The minute I read the first two posts of how it unfroze while visiting this site, I picked up my phone to check the status after 30 minutes of not working, and LOE AND BEHOLD IT UNFROZE!!!

My hear is beating so fast I feel like a virgin on prom night hahaha!

I turned it off and back on, disabled Find my IPhone on the old phone, but it is still hanging there. Been about 45 minutes or so now.

Just wondering if anyone else had this issue or if it is just that a lot of people are restoring their phones and the servers are just overloaded or something.

Didnt work for me
 
I tried restoring so many times from icloud since morning. Finally after reading this thread, estimated remaining time was 6 minutes.

so I am late to this and had to read thru 9 pages (hint, please don't reply to someone else's posts, then you have to read the same over and over, ugh), created a post to cry foul, and boom it worked!!!!
Unbeleiveable!
 
holy sh*, I read through page 1 skeptically wondering if the commenters on this thread are trolls pretending that it works. Now I am compelled to create an account just to report it does workomgomgomg

I skipped straight to Page 9 after Page 1, and scrolling through halfway of page 9... voila! 6 minutes remaining!

Look no further, this thread has proven beyond reasonable doubt that magic. is. REAL.
 
Mine's stuck on "Time remaining: estimating..." as well. Haven't found anything that works so far. Crossing my fingers this thread works its magic!

Edit: Oh...My god... It's at 45 mins now! PLEASE FINISH

Wow... Five hours I spent on my ipad mini. Came to this thread, thought you were all fools. Looked down and my ipad was no longer stuck in icloud backup land. I have been on the internet nearly half the day trying to find a solution. I can't believe the number of people this has worked for. Not sure how it can even be explained.
 
Ok ... so it doesn't seem to be working as yet ... just created an account and now waiting ... will update!

It bloody works! Don't know why and how but it does ... now just downloading the apps ... I'm so relieved ... go for it :)

This post is amazing, i didnt want to just jump on the bandwagon with everybody else. The whole time i thought it was a crock of sh**. But i thought hey why not? im not doin anything else. so i waited and read everything and it started to work and i got all my stuff back. thank you jesus!! read this post for help, join the bandwagon lmao
