iPhone 6(S)/Plus iPhone 6S - Restoring from Backup Stuck at Time Reamaining: estimating...

third time i restore my phone :mad:
i read all thread and it stills stuck :oops:

finally it worked :apple:

Stuck again at "About 2 minutes":mad::confused:

Ok, this is completely INSANE!!!!!! I had this issues for a few days now and nothing worked and without much hope I googled my issue and randomly cape upon this thread, I started reading and I immediately felt it was some kind of bullsh*t that everyone was taking part of. I read the first page entirely and I was still stuck on the estimated time screen, I was about to close the thread but I decided to go check the last page before leaving and while reading it, I saw my phone showing 6 minutes left to the restore on the screen!! I swear it's true, thanks so much for the magic, my phone is restored now! :p

Btw, I just made an account because I was completely blown away by this magic! :D
 
Maybe I have to post to catch some magic? Definitely wouldn't have tried to restore the phone tonight had I known it would be so difficult. My 6 had zero issues.
 
Alright, so here is my backstory.
I had to get an new Iphone 6S because my battery just didn't work. It would die at 80%, sometimes less. So, I got it traded in. Backed it up and had it running no problem. However, all my old photos were greyed out. So, I googled a solution and it told me to wipe the phone clean, and redo the backup. So I backed up my phone, and erased it. I tried to do the backup and I was stuck on it saying it would take a day, and often it would say unable to backup (possibly due to my dorm wifi?)
I went through all 11 pages of this thread (honestly skimming towards the end) and watched some netflix here and there..I have yet to check my phone at all. Honestly this is a test in patience and the magic might lie in me just waiting and not being so impatient.
Well...haven't check it yet so its judgement day...will my phone have made progress???

****. It still says 1 day. I mean its better than saying time remaining forever...sigh...not much magic here. Just MILD progress. Im so upset. Ugh.

Holy cow - why do some of you people write such LONG replies?

It makes it absolutely agonizing for those of us who believe in the magic and are honestly trying to get through the thread. Lol

I think I'm in the slow progress category. Mine was stuck as an iTunes back up restore at about the halfway point. Started reading through the thread and now it looks like I have 1/8 left. So I guess that's progress.

Was hoping that creating an account and posting a reply would speed things up. But not yet.

Yeah, read this entire thread and nothing happened, which I figured would be the case. Will restart the phone and see what happens.

Holy ****ing moley! I don't ****ing believe this, right when I posted it, it went from 10 hours to 2 hours! This is some weird magic **** here.

I started re-reading the thread, it's now AT 12 MINUTES!

Well, I'm going to church tomorrow, because this is a MRACLE!

It worked for me at first, then ended up saying "cannot restore iPhone backup" after i restarted my phone and tried again. pray for me!
 
WTF!!! i have been trying to restore my phone ALL DAY!!! I tried about 15 times. I just came across this thread and literally just signed in to make an account to say that i got to page 5, was about to give up and i looked at my phone and it said 8 minutes remaining.... I'm actually laughing out loud!! this is CRAZY!!

THANKYOU IPHONE GODS.
 
I've been stuck on less than 1 minute for almost 15 minutes...

the long replies are good! When there's less to read you get bored and tempted to check your phone!
 
The more post this thread has the better chance of the magic working... or you can go outside and take a walk.

Or go to an Apple Store where the internet is faster...
 
So I can confirm that as I sit here now typing this, I read the ENTIRE thread and it bumped from estimating to less than a minute...
Then I got skeptical cause it was stuck there for about 20 mins and decided to start typing a post and it WORKED!!!

Thank you so much for the magic of this thread I am over here speechless that it worked!
 
Hoping some luck will rub off on me!

The first time I found this thread, it didn't work.

Second time it did!

This time it hasn't worked yet, keeping my fingers crossed.

Earlier it got down between 2-4 hours, then around 10 mins & it went back up again. Got tired of waiting so I restarted my phone. Went down to 10 mins again, still waiting. Haven't checked it again yet. Read all of the thread.

Also, the taptic engine makes this thumping noise once in a while even when I'm not using the phone. What's up with that?

I can't even! Worked here too! Trying to transfer my whopping 128g phone to a new one. It's been working for over 7 hours...stuck at 3% for almost an hour. Got halfway though reading this "magical", hehe, thread and bam- its restarting just like I'd hoped!

IT JUST WORKED I READ LIKE 7 pages and it got from estimating to 1minute and now it showes the apple logo

Okay listen up to everyone here who doesn't believe. I read numerous comments of the "magic" this thread has. Let me start by saying I jailbroke my phone, it wouldn't connect to itunes. After many attempts to fix it i decided a clean restore but was stuck on the dreaded iCloud restore screen. I had no hope. I read each comment and kept looking at my phone waiting for the "magic". Finally, after about 5 mins. it worked. Everyone. BELIEVE! I MADE AN ACCOUNT JUST TO POST THIS I DIDN'T BELIEVE IT. THANK YOU MAGIC THREAD.

I turned it off and back on, disabled Find my IPhone on the old phone, but it is still hanging there. Been about 45 minutes or so now.

Just wondering if anyone else had this issue or if it is just that a lot of people are restoring their phones and the servers are just overloaded or something.
