iPhone 6(S)/Plus iPhone 6S - Restoring from Backup Stuck at Time Reamaining: estimating...

Hahaha can't believe it. Had to create an ID to post this.

Recovery to my 7 Plus is stuck at 3-4 hours. Once I started reading this thread now it's down to less than a minute.

Well, it's not 100% restored but I'm glad it moved so much.

What magic? I really don't know.

EDIT 1: It's done! My iPhone 7 Plus is restored!

Unfortunately, No luck for me either.
The last few times it has gone from "estimating time 5 days" and now this time, it says only "estimating time".

Fingers crossed for some luck change!

No luck for me either :-( Any other ideas? Im scared to stop it by unplugging it without ejecting..
 
I had the same problem for hours. I googled and opened up this page, read through the first page and looked at my bar - IT REALLY WORKED!!!!

The thread magic is real!

omg omg omg i am so happy. I started reading it and prayed it would work . After reading the 5th page with slightly diminished hope , I checked my phone and saw i had 10 minutes remaining. after making this account , i had 1 minute remaining and after confirming the email, my phone restarted with the apple logo. this really works and I am sooooo happy. thank you so so much i also had to create an account just to share my story

Really wanted the magic to work for me but unfortunately it did not. :( I read every post, word for word, praying the iphone gods would bless their magic on me. My update started off at 5mins, it then increased to 1hour and it got stuck and eventually stopped working. I restarted the backup but it happened...2 more times after! Really hoping posting will help!! Please iphone gods! Help meee!
 
ROFL, it worked for me too. I thought the guys in the first page were part of a collective joke but it actually worked. Was stuck on "estimating time", deleted the back up, redid it and nothing worked. Opened this thread, looked at the posts, then back at my phone that was stuck and BOOM! 2 minutes remain.

Ok. It just dropped to 4 hours after my bleak post. Strange.

Wow 0_0 it works, was at like 2 hours now 3 minutes. The magic is real lol

I read this from the first page to the last and when i was done nothing happened but after waiting awhile my phone finished?!?! o_O
 
Ok I am now a believer. Literally read through the entire forum and now my phone says 22 min remaining. I am shocked and so happy. Keep the magic alive guys. WOOOOT
 
this is honestly the craziest thing I've seen, I thought all these responses had to be trolls but my phone was stuck on "time remaining: estimating..." for so long that I was desperate to try anything. As I went down the thread I constantly checked my phone but it didn't change until I read the very last page on the post. It changed to 16 minutes remaining and finished successfully. I have no clue what voodoo magic is going on here but I'm so thankful for it

what the honest **** just has happened read the thread and bam my phone is now saying 3 hours remaining **** yeahhhhhhhhh EVERYBODY WHO IS HAVING THIS PROBLEM, READ THE ****ING THREAD AND SOME GIMP/SEX SLAVE **** WILL HAPPEN TO YOUR PHONE! THIS IS MAZE
 
man, icloud restore is still stuck on 1 minute remaining. Hopefully, posting on here will give it that little push it needs
