I ordered the jet black. Now I feel that I may regret it. Should've gotten the regular black.

I wanted the jet black but I put a case on anyway. Tried to order the less popular of the two. Think I found a case that mimics the jet black. I am happy with any of the black colors.

I had initially tried to order through ATT.com, but I hadn't noticed that Chase had raised a fraud alert on the purchase and was asking for my confirmation. I ultimately ordered through apple because AT&T wouldn't accept my card. I show a $10.88 charge from Apple on my card, but I'm not sure if it's for something else (like app purchase) or what. Hopefully my card doesn't decline like it did AT&T when they ultimately try to charge it.

I tried initially with Apple.com but only offered to buy it full price because I owed ONE payment on ATT Next to upgrade and couldn't do it through Apple once checking via ATT.

SO stupid. If they could check upgrade eligibility it should've let me pay off the whopping $37 via that same check/portal to ATT and kept going through Apple.com to order. Had to order through ATT's site.

Order numbers mean nothing.

My choice shows that it shipped already and my support profile shows the serial number.
Apple app shows ready for shipment at the moment.
7+ 256 Gold. 12:11 confirmation email.

Mine is not even being prepared for shipment yet Still pending.

Last year, mine didn't change from "Processing" until a couple of days before launch date: it was sitting in Tennessee when it changed to "Shipped". Apple has lots of iPhones already staged in the US with UPS and Fedex. I was a little bummed that I didn't get to track my iPhone's flight from China last year.

If only I had this experience. This is completely off-topic but a word of warning:

Avoid using Access Points if you can. (They are UPS Stores.) They are franchised and you are left at the mercy of the owner, who in my case, did not show up to open his store during business hours for two days. Thankfully, I work closely with the retail shipping industry so I was able to get in touch with the district manager. The owner wasn't very happy with me but he was holding a paycheck in his store and didn't give anyone a reason why he failed to open his store during business hours.

Do you want this to happen with your iPhone?

I have never liked UPS and they don't seem to like me very much.

I never have a problem with the UPS store i use. Very reliable and holds my package in a secure area away from other packages.

Update: Was able to use the "Track by Reference" feature on UPS.com to find my shipment (used my phone number). I have UPS MyChoice, but since I'm having the phone shipped to my business address, it obviously didn't show up on MyChoice. The package is moving through Zhengzhou, China. Still scheduled for delivery on Friday 9/16.

My matte black 128gb says preparing for shipment. Delivery Sept 16. My wife's rose gold 128gb says Processing but the date still says Sept 16. Ordered within minutes of each other. Man I hope my wife's shows on the same day as mine or much jealousy will occur in this house.

Ordered at about 2:15 AM central (12:15 AM Pacific time) been processing whole time no change, figured a silver and larger one would have less demand in one poll only 23% going for this size (no color specified) and I figure black was the popular one silver the old most common. Seemed to have worked even as late as I got it.
