My husband used the app, got in at 3:07-3:08, selected the device, order and confirmed. All in about 15 minutes. Delivery 16th. I'm not being smug in the slightest. I'm sure people did have issues. I don't deserve to be dumped on for my 16th delivery, just like you don't deserve to have your face rubbed in it for your later one. No one had ANY control over their delivery date, and it's absurd to think otherwise

My comment wasn't directed at you. It was directed at those who are being inconsiderate. I'll be picking mine up in store on Friday so nothing is being rubbed in my face. I was able to successfully place my order on my PC and choose pick up in store on 9/16. You're right, nobody deserves to be dumped on for being lucky enough to place their order in time to get one on the 16th. UNLESS they are being smug about it and pouring salt into people's wounds by saying things like "Well you should have used the app store app". I'm sure it's pretty frustrating to hear someone else who is getting one on the 16th tell them what they should have done when what they are telling them is exactly what they did.

It boiled down to luck. Some people were able to quickly get through to the servers, some weren't. That is the main factor. Unless somebody was trying to order their iPhone from Microsoft, I'm pretty sure they were doing it right. Some were even able to get in at a decent time, but were held up by other factors throughout the process that caused their date to slip. Let's all just be considerate to those who weren't as lucky the other night. I feel for them. Many of them didn't get a fair shake. They did all the rights things, but have nothing to show for it.

ruuoh....In the same boat.

Could be moving in a later flight.

Guess the next arrival scan will tell us where we are.
Yep, just got that too. Well, UPS99 touches down a in an hour or so, so if it's not showing an arrival in Anchorage in a few hours, then we know they weren't on that plane.

I am a huge otterbox fan but went with Spigen because it appears they have a tough armor model with the jet black finish. That is what I wanted in my phone but settled for matte black. I sent an email to check on the finish. I ordered but won't be shipped until the 23rd. Had to get interim case.
Nice! I will check that out. I keep forgetting about Spigen. I was going to order a Unicorn Beetle, but I hated it on my 6 Plus.

That did happen to me one year! Thought I was screwed! the shipping info came in like 3 days after, on a Monday! That it shipped! and was delivered! I was actually shocked when Fedex showed up with the phone at like 6:30pm.
I don't want that to happen. I need to watch and obsess over my phone traveling from China!

Is anyone who ordered a non-plus seeing the phone in their Apple Support Profile?
I'm got nothing yet. Just preparing for shipment, since Friday.

I agree. I understand some had issues, and that is terribly unfortunate. Seemed like no matter what they did, it was a no go. Here's hoping their phones arrive sooner than expected. :)

Did anyone get a ship date for 7 Plus/Jet Black 128GB before 10/4? It changed from 9/26 to 10/4 while I was checking out. So I guess the earliest for Plus/Jet Black is end of month, and early Oct for the rest of us pre-orders (my confirm was sent at 1:12am mountain).

Mine shows that too. Gotta be a glitch of some kind. I don't see any flights coming from Incheon now. UPS99 is the most recent, then there was one a while back, UPS49.

To the people who pay for the phones outright, when you want to get a new phone, do you just sell yours? Do you get a good return on what you paid? Are you getting the new phones every year? I always wondered if there was a benefit to paying for it up front vs paying monthly, besides obviously not paying monthly. Just curious, thanks!

hey so for me i do sell my old phone and usually get more than half of what i paid for, as long as you keep it in good condition that is! its definitely worth it for me technically I'm only paying extra 500 after selling my phone which is better than paying the full 1000 bucks and higher for us in canada

I sell mine every year and get a new one... My 6s plus is already almost $400 on eBay and there are still 5 days of bidding left. Better than trade-in value.

I usually try and sell mine the return pays for quite a bit of my new phone. the last 2 years I have been giving my iphones to my parents to get them out of the dark ages. while its a huge investment year over year I get good son bonus points haha. Ive upgraded the last 3 years
